XRP's been surviving mostly on the limited use of ODL alongside speculative investing, the latter of which is mostly responsible for the original ATH at around $3. ODL is a serious market force in practice, but it's in it's infancy and given that it involves essentially buying and selling XRP in a matter of seconds, it's not going to affect the price much without true mass adoption.

That said, there's another probable crash in the near future, but it's still a slight ways off, and banks are slow to adapt even while under serious financial pressure. XRP and the money it can potentially free up will be a way to mitigate the damage, but it will still take some time to catch on on a global scale, and there's STILL the issue of the XRP tied up in escrow.

Expect the prophesized "mooning" of XRP to take place throughout 2023-2025. It's not going to be an overnight leap like some of the youtube retards suggest, but there's enough of a chance of it happening that it's worth accumulating alongside the rest of your portfolio.
