That would run you 500k here in South Florida. Average would be two or three bed/two bath for around 300k.

Why are people investing in housing when it’s so expensive? Wouldn’t it be better to rent, save up liquid cash and wait for the inevitable collapse in the housing market?

By that logic society will quickly split up into poor and rich.

If you own a home like this but dont have millions of dollars you'll quickly get pushed to being poor as the value goes up and you cant afford the property tax.

They keep injecting cash so with interest the loan loses so much value the price is plummeting. Waiting for a dip you just pay the reasonable price but with worthless dollars so saving will not get you there. Savings erode just as fast as a mortgage. Is my logic at least. I'm looking at a 3 bed 3 bathroom house on Monday for 70k. Gonna sell 1k linkies for the down-payment. OK not really selling but it's hilarious to me that a $300 investment could get me in a 1,600sqft house and the monthly payment being less than a a days wages.

Sorry all the city libs are moving down here to retire and settle down and turning the south blue and terra-forming all the woods into hipster faggot shops and trying to outlaw fun things like guns and ATVs. Basically they are like Mexicans, running away from their own culture, only to rebuild it. I am sad that my home state Virginia will be solidly blue forever soon.
