Remember that DeFi service (fulcrum) that got rekt because of a shitty Oracle?

Pic related. This is setting a standard for the rest of the entire crypto community to see.
If you want to get rekt because of shit oracles, use trash.
If you want a safe, secure, and reliable Oracle... use LINK

It was an inside job. Sergey and Ari broke some thumbs.

This. That's why Sergey gives the thumbs up on every picture. It's a threat sign.

this i agree with. Just got fucked by a really smart person..

I just want to remind all the 'bend the knee' newfags that BZX is a team that develop smart contracts for a living. They were well aware of Link's existence and understand it much better than the average 20 year old that holds Chainlink. The idea that some faggot with a few hundred link tokens understands the intricacies of this stuff better than they do is outright laughable. They opted not to go with Chainlink oracles for a reason--- the biggest being their dapp doesn't require access to offchain data.

Chainlink would not prevent this type of attack. BZX/fulcrum is just getting a ton of free advertising on the back of 'bend the knee' fucktards by taking a picture with Sergey at the same conference. Again, the teams announced they were working together at least in May 2019 and I think like 6 months before that.

Yes it would. They draw their reference prices from multiple large exchanges, not some puny DEX. It would be prohibitively expensive to perform this particular attack.

t. no idea of how pooled liquidity works or what xy=k is.

Do you really think that BZX wasn't aware of this problem, despite being partnered with LINK for a year? Peak dunning kruger nulinker shit.

You don't know how it works either because they haven't published the detail of their oracle, dipshit. But if you're somehow implying that an aggregation of 21 different feeds from the biggest exchanges is as easy to manipulate as whatever wacky and PROVABLY FALLIBLE system they were using then IDK what to tell you

>> No.17278801

>>17278636
Again, you're so fucking retard i don't know where to start.

The pair that got attacked was WBTC. It literally has nothing to do with the oracle you fucking retard. Do you think having a bunch of exchanges for some illiquid shit like WBTC makes a bit of difference? >muh big exchanges

Try actually learning about this shit beyond biz infographics, you might get enlightened. You can have all the oracles you want reporting the price like >>17278254 says, it doesn't make a bit of difference.

People that understand defi beyond 'x bent the knee' are capable of putting two and two together to realize that you can have accurate feeds from liquidity pools that are already onchain.

Link is now a normie shitcoin and 90% of the holders are braindead herd followers. This upsets me so much because I genuinely enjoyed the community back in the day. It's just a fuckin circle jerk of meme spouting retards now.

Fuck you.
