I made 1000 dollars Dumpster Diving this month.
Essentially picking up the stuff that people throw away at the apartments in my neighborhood. Baby Strollers, Kids Toys, a couple Casio Watches a gun case xbox 360 bar stools. Some good shit some bad shit. Took a lot of it to the Resell Stores for quick cash, every other day for 15-40 dollars. This is going to translate to Free Links. Thank you fellow wasteful Amerifats

Right so add up the time it took to track down dumpsters, dive in them (gross btw) and then somehow sell the items (did you ebay them? sell them in person?), was it worth it?

Did this with my friend a couple times and we found a $700 coffee table that they spray painted a giant x on because they didn't want someone to get it free. Took it home sanded, and restained. Free high end coffee table fuck the companies.

if you are dumpster diving corporate dumpsters in the back of malls and stores those ones mostly have locks or are kept in locking cages these days. the internet popularized dumpsterdiving at big box stores and they know now so do everything they can to stop it, including security cams on the dumpsters

Based replies and feedback.
Everything sits outside the dumpsters at apartment complexes. I picked up 6 bags of clothes sold them all for like 60 bucks. They where mostly kids clothes and ladies. All I do is pick it up then turn it over for cash at the resell stores. I'm next to a university.
Based reply on syringes, That's why I don't dig into this shit.
I live next to a major university.

yes this has become a problem. I once scored 4,000 dollars worth of software from Maximum Office but now it all gets destroyed thanks to Youtube Faggots and Plebbit. Almost all of my old treasure chest now have locks and no trespassing signs.

>>17263831
yeah it sucks for those of us who knew about these tricks of the trade way back when. the internet popularizes it as a get rich quick scheme and then the faggots come in who just jump in the dumpster and start ripping bags open and throwing everything out looking for goodies then leave all the garbage strewn everywhere outside the dumpster. the companies then feel the need to take away the incentive to dumpster dive by destroying all their shit first before throwing it away, or locking up the dumpsters, or both

I discovered much of it when I went back to school and noticed that thousands of ungrateful kiddies where throwing out complete apartments full of items worth money. I once found 12 laptops that were from an upgrade sold them all for 50-120 apiece when I was a student. I also had found a brand new just open viper car alarm at the university dorms. I believe some frat boy purchased the car alarm looked at the instructions then said fuck this

holy shit are you me? thats how i discovered it. it would be move out day at my college apartments and i would see perfectly good desks, chairs, games, everything in the fucking dumpster as they all cleaned out their rooms to go back home. me and my bros made a hobby out of it every move out day after that for the next few years. wed drive around to the different apartment complexes and load up on free loot. i would literally find cash because the ungrateful kiddies just throw out everything without even checking shit. id find envelopes with brithday cards with cash and shit like that. i couldnt believe it. then would literally just flip all the furniture and accessories and shit on craigslist to mostly new students moving in or beaners top kek!

Why don't you maintain at least some dignity and buy some kneepads

>> No.17266747

I'd rather keep my dignity than to dumpster dive like some homeless druggie digging for that diamond in the ruff. Spending hours inside a trash bin that's filled with who knows what. Ya, no thanks. Cam whoring is easier

do you pick certain days or times of the day to go? ive wanted to try dumpsters in the back of the parking lot of a big box store near me forever but im too scared becasue of all the cameras and foot traffic. they are on high alert because of all the illegal dumping i think. people bring their pickups and leave mattresses and shit clogging up their dumpster. so i just stick to the apartment dumpsters

Anons there is free money out there. I have been a pipe welder , boiler maker and now I am a professional engineer I gave up my dignity years ago for money. don't mix the two together unless you want to be poor. You work some 2048 hours a year for 20 years that is a career. Therefore if you have 40k items to flip you've completed the time span of a career. At 25.00 an item that is 1 million dollars.
>>17267072
I generally stay away from big box stores as they mostly have compactors now and are very high profile. As I posted earlier most of what I pick up is not actually inside the dumpster but sitting outside.
