What does /biz/ think of penny stocks? I'm looking to start getting involved with the stock market and figured it would be a good start. II've been doing some homework and have come to these conclusions:

>Penny stocks are not the same as more expensive stocks. They are more volatile and don't entirely follow the same general rules/ tactics involved with trading, say, Tesla.
>Swing trading seems to be a good option, if you have the touch for trading and make a few good trades each month. Also ought to have the income to make this worthwhile.

A few questions:
>What does everyone do to pick the stocks they invest in? What sort of research do you do to determine if a stock is worthwhile?
>How much money should you try to utilize towards stocks to make it worthwhile?

it's about valuation of products that aren't even made yet. Futher expected growth and profit. I was offered 7 million for my company once and balked at the offer. The company is easily valued 10 times that now.

Stocks shouldn't be treated as a get rich quick scheme, I mean in regards to penny stocks sure you can make or break, but look at it from a sheer numbers perspective. You've got nano.cap fucker call it ticker symbol NIG trading at $30, and the market cap of that NIG is like say 10 million. mean while you got GER call it same fucking shit. worth 10 million, but share price is $0.29... you can't tell me these two hypothetical companies are nothing less than equal.

ONTX has the makings of a diamond in the rough deal. Read the pdf on the site. The potential profit/use cases for the drug is nuts. And that is just for the one currently in Phase 3. They have others in lessor stages in the works. The reason the stock is at the low point now has shit to do with any drug setbacks or anything dealing with the drug itself. Rather it's due to them needing money. Now that they have cash out the ass till 2021 they are rolling full speed ahead getting the Phase 3 drug out the door (and bringing in shitloads of Profit). People shit on them. But people said the same about Amazon at one point. Now look at Amazon. Once they release the Phase 3 data, well, lots of people will be jumping on the train, lots of people will be saying "sorry" and "I told you so". People that can afford to go to space for tourism purposes will largely will want to do those things rather than spend five minutes in space with Virgin. Those are just the physical problems, but there are other major problems with their business model on top of this like very low margins and crawling development.

The reason the ISS is what it is because of politics and budgetary restrictions. If there was any strong case (profits) to make the ISS, I'm sure a private company would take a go at it.

They're in the discussion because once Crew Dragon launches, they along along with Starliner can get the top tier of space flight tourism industry. With Starship, the seat costs drop below anything Virgin can do. Starship can have seat prices that are only 75K and they can produce them at a much faster rate.
