Does anybody study candlestick charting? Have you ever seen anything like what's been going on with AAPL last week or so? Last Wednesday was a doji. Thursday should have been another doji if not for the bs WHO announcement regarding the virus corona. Friday was a water fall down day. Monday it found support and today was a long day relatively speaking, a spinning top. Last week started out with another doji, then a star. Volume is a sign on interest first of all. But.. change(price)/volume is also a measure of resistance. See it as a measure of how much someone has to buy or sell to move the price by 1 point. Really high volume on a green candle is usually good but if the the candle is very flat (aka the price didn't move much even on high volume) it means that resistance is steel hard.
Igniting volume vs ending volume basically.
Remember this but don't forgetthe context of the candle in the chart.

Options give you the right to buy a stock at that strike price by that day of expiration. He can buy Tesla at $1000 by that day. The price of the option is pricing in that by that date Tesla will be over 1000, giving his option a profit. He can sell that option to someone else and pocket that or exercise it himself and get tesla stock with a basis of 1000 by that date. It sounds confusing at first but options give you a right to buy an assest at a certain price by a certain date. If things go how you want you have an advantage.

The advantage instead of just buying stock on open market is limited loss. What he paid for that option is all he can lose. Its a way to limit losses.
