They take roughly 9$ to buy (and another 9$ to sell) any amount of one particular foreign (non-national) stock, they take 33% in fees from dividends starting at 15$ plus they automatically deduct another 40% or so in taxes from the remaining chunk if the dividend is foreign. So buying and selling small positions is basically impossible (at least this keeps me from gambling penny stocks) and dividend strategy is also impossible because national stocks don't pay dividends.

You might not believe me but this is still the best brokerage where I live by a wide margin. What an absolute shitshow. It's honestly baffling to me that the US elites are allowing their wageslaves such incredibly easy access to the stock market when they're much more draconian in other aspects.
