Hey /biz/, my parents are boomers and are stereotype boomers of having made six figures as early as mid twenties. Dad has never worked a minimum wage job in his life while I am 19 and have been at a steel mill, mover, construction, and barely have anything left beyond food and rent, as in despite slaving away destroying my back I don't make enough to even save for anything substantial.

They claim to have ZERO retirement funds and have little money. My dad has made well over six figures, about 130-150k for about three decades now. My question is, are my parents lying and covering up certain costs or are they just absolutely fucking braindead, retard genetic trash to manage to fuck up so collosally? They expect me to pay for their retirement despite the fact I can't even get a good car
