Why did buying up so much silver cause the price to go up? Was it because there was less being available to be sold??

The topic's probably been beaten to death, but how extreme do you guys go into keeping sovereign coins like ASEs in near or in mint condition? All I did with my new ASEs was place them with a shirt in lieu of gloves into a tube that will eventually hold 20. It seems unnecessary to do stuff like keep every single one in a coin flip, but is the value in doing that actually worth it in the long run? The single ASE I kept out to handle already has a few noticeable marks and so it seems like it would almost be impossible for them to ever stay in pure mint condition, but is that why people buy proofs? I guess it just isn't clear what the cost/benefit is to keeping ASEs and other coins in near perfect condition when they aren't proofs or otherwise rare in any way.

It's really hard to not be in the equity markets right now. If you can earn some dividends and start reducing your cost basis, you will be glad if after a year the market has remained flat or (more likely) gained some ground. Sure there will be a correction, but it's been called by analysts for years and years at this point while we hit record high after record high in the indexes. I have a Roth that's mainly focused on dividend payers and it's honestly one of the best moves I've made as far as financial planning goes. Especially these days when you can use a real broker (Schwab in my case), and pay no commissions that you need to gain back before you are in the green. i just literally searched "gold stocks" because i'm ignorant, but why shouldn't you be investing in the stocks like pic related, it seems like every company under this search term has been fairly new and is steadily going up. and if my knowledge serves me right, it is to go with the trend. can you compare what pic related now, what something like microsoft, apple, or amazon stock looked like in the 90s? i know it doesnt have the similar hype to those tech companies, but almost having your money doubled each year at a steady rate, equally seems like a good option. despite less volatility than stocks, but more return then index funds or even something as low as an investment just paying yearly interest returns

and look how coincidentally all these came up in 2008 and none were greatly affected by it.

Do you think voyageur dollars from canada are a good buy in the united states? Each coin is 80% silver and has a total of .6 troy oz. of silver. They are always really cheap on apmex and i'm tempted to pick up a roll or two.
And what about 40% silver kennedy or eisenhower dollars? the premium is much lower on them than 90%, and it would be fun to have a huge stack of them, but i don't know if they would sell as easily.
