Just leetcode man. I know people who suck at coding who do leetcode on the whiteboard every day for 6 months straight and get into google. Most of the problems are tricky if you haven’t studied but can be solved in 5-10 lines and most of them can be put in a dozen or so “categories”. You just need to learn the pattern for those commonly asked categories of problems (ie dynamic programming) and you can BS your way through the interviews. Most people who work at FAANG aren’t really that good they just leetcode a lot.

When I say people aren’t good at coding I mean a lot of these guys barely know who to use git, don’t know basic shit like CIDR notation, don’t know how to implement a REST api, etc. they just get gud at the DS and algo problems but can’t code anything useful irl without a lot of hand holding. Instead of doing personal projects (which actually help you as a developer) they just grind LEETCODE to ace the interviews. Once they are in its very hard to get fired unless you work at amazon or something

this is mostly right, but part of the interviews is system design/behavioral/experience as well. companies stress each aspect differently in interviews. You can do shit like grokking the system design but from my experience it's harder to "fake" actual system design/work experience which is what mostly determines your initial placement in the engineering hierarchy. For OP, yeah if you're just looking to get in then leetcode is gonna be the way to go, and maybe some minor sys design just so you don't look like an idiot for that part. If you ace all the interview questions, flail about in system design and aren't a total sperg you'll likely get a new grad offer or thereabouts.
