It's probably staight to crypto since we would pretty much be back to where we started. Plus, millenials and zoomers already rather use digital cash. No doubt, we would probably try to re-back the dollar with metals and then allow old dollars to be exchanged for new dollars since its what rulers have tried in the past like in dynastic China, but I don't think its going to work in the digital age and Western people are more rebellious.

yuan is not trustworthy, commie central gov controlled currencies are worthless even in their local regions much less worldwide.
euro is not trustworthy, different economic models of south and north europe constantly rip it in two directions.
a theoretical northern euro currency would be a hard contender for world reserve but with UK and Germany being doofuses at the current time it won't happen.
US is still barely trustworthy (i say that as a eurotard) because it is backed by military might and oil, but your national debt is the weak point and will bring it down.
So what comes next?
Crypto (not one but many) will become world reserve at least until quantum computers become good, which may take 100 years
