you can hire teams of them
depends on what quality you want

What I imagine for your manga is a sort of manga-book crossover. I feel like print media is way too segmented. Action scenes and descriptions of books are usually not as good as showing a glimpse of the place with a drawing.
And dialog/explanation portions of manga can be super cringe, like pages of text but they also feel like they have to show whichever character is talking in the corner of each frame.
I feel like you could be much more fluid, back and forth between pages of pure text and then portions that are much more comic/drawing heavy. For some reason the nips (and westerners) never really try to do this properly, as far as I know. There are either comics on one side, or books/LN on the other side.

I also imagine your mangabook series having very, very good art. But not necessarily detailed bodies and faces (expensive), but very intricate geometric designs, patterns, things like that. That stuff can actually be not too expensive, you can of course do some of it yourself and then flesh it out with your retained artists. I also imagine a lot of abstraction. Have you ever read Voynich Hotel? It isn't really exactly what you're going for, but in terms of being heavily stylistic and sparse on drudgery it's good.

I'll read it
but yeah, the exposition of the page that you posted just seems... tiresome to me. There is a lot of art, the characters are saying a lot of things back and forth, but the overall direction isn't clear. But at the same time, it isn't abstract or obscured in an interesting way, it seems that some things are just needlessly there.

If I were in your situation I really would lean more towards a manga art-style than a western comic art-style. It is orders of magnitude cheaper, simpler, looks better in a lot of cases, etc.

I'll try and find some other examples besides Voynich Hotel that have the same mix of good pacing, good pacing of exposition, and correct amount of exposition for the idea the writer is trying to share. Because even if it does all of those things very well, and looks great and has a very compelling and unique style, it isn't the exact same thing that you will be going for (you will have more exposition and explanation because of the nature of your work).

Would you use the bathrooms at your local cvs? If you have, how are they?

That's a fine stance to take. Personally, when I was putting together brand new extra awesome trading strategy last year I wanted it to work with meme stocks. Meme stocks are their own thing, divorced from whatever sector they may originate from. Once a stock trades in a memey sort of way, meme stonk rules apply from that point forward until they stop being memey. I trade every meme the same now and never devote more than 15% of portfolio to memes (total).

yeah the extremely important part isn't deciding when a certain stock becomes a meme; the hard part is deciding when they are no longer a meme. There won't be a flashing light or a headline or anything, focus will just shift to new memes automatically. But certain stocks will have the status modifier for much longer (ex. TSLA), while some biopharma meme-time dynamics work differently, on a much quicker time scale (a couple days).

I dont know. I have yet to read myself further into the topic. I can see them expanding into Europe though. I do not see why not. They have the know how, the infrastructure, the money and the people. Or will have, at least.
If lets say Spain legalizes weed there is no Spanish company. Only Dutch, through the EU, and the ones from NA.
>Most government legalizing cannabis are creating new companies
Sure. Because the companies are not yet ready to expand so new companies get a chance. Once the big players have the size it will be hard for others to break in and to convince investors.

Its like opening breweries in Iran. The Iranians have no companies for that and do not really know how. So foreign brands can rush in, build these facilities with the millions they have already and fill the void, when the regime falls.

DDD

Understanding DDD trade
- People want technology
- 3D printing sentiment is worse than garbage
- Other technology very expensive
- Pick best 3D printing stock over 2020

Is it harder? Just look at DDD 5 year chart and compare to other technology 5 year charts.

Sure 3D printing never materialized in the past. But if it prints good quarterlies it can rocket. Not to mention ongoing new products coming out etc.

It's a rotation play based on where the whole market is and looks relative to 3D printing stocks.

I think in the US things used to be more varied across different regions. But in the present day, the things that supermarkets are going to stock is going to be at least 85% the same across the continental US.
It can be nice if you're traveling, but it doesn't lend itself as much to having interesting regional variety. There are specific groceries for Asians and Mexicans as well, depending on where you live.

So this is fun. Apparently my area is going to go directly from brutal cold as cold gets here straight in to chinook effect conditions. I live in Alberta east of the rocky mountains and chinook effect refers to a weather pattern where warm winds coming off the pacific run above the mountain range and remain warm while cool air stays in the valleys between the mountains. This results in spring/fall style temperatures for several days even in middle of winter. It's also why living in Alberta is more pleasant than living in Saskatchewan or Manitoba in winter as the latter two provinces do not benefit from chinook effect.

Cold snap is good for Alberta electricity and natural gas utility companies but mostly priced in.

The market is looking for a reason to selloff, everyone is on edge because we’re at all time highs, and Trump is about to sign a deal with the Chinese, that we have NO DETAILS on, and both parties have fucked these up in the past. Also we haven’t had a correction since 2018, and haven’t really had a dip since October (?)

Also mixed economic news, election uncertainty, Brexit still not resolved, honkkong still not resolved, repo market headlines, etc etc.

And traders are very familiar with “sell the news”

We should get a dip and it should be extremely buyable. I hope so with all the cash I raised today.

He then concluded MUH CLIMATE CHANGE GLOBAL WARMING CONFIRMED and set to social media to make statements to that effect. Apparently no one told him that this is entirely normal for the region and has been happening for millenia. Nothing to do with muh climate changes. Local social media and newspapers had fun pointing and laughing at him for a bit thereafter.

Existing tariffs on billions of dollars of Chinese goods coming into the U.S. are likely to stay in place until after the American presidential election, and any move to reduce them will hinge on Beijing’s compliance with the terms of a phase-one trade accord, people familiar with the matter said.

>Phase 1 Compliance will be important for further Tariff reductions.
Oh, this is brand new. I thought we would ignore if they broke Phase 1 horribly

>Tariffs in place till after election
Trump has already talked about delaying phase 2 until after election, they've even said the plan is to begin negotiations with Trump's visit to China which will be done pre-election to juice the market and his chances of re-election
The two sides have an understanding that no sooner than 10 months after the signing of the agreement at the White House Wednesday, the U.S. will review progress and potentially consider additional cuts on tariffs affecting $360 billion of imports from China, the people said, declining to be identified because the matter is private.

The period of review, which isn’t expected to be specified in the deal’s text, is intended to give the Trump administration time to verify the Asian nation’s adherence to the terms of the pact. It won’t affect a halving of the 15% tariff on about $120 billion in Chinese goods announced in December that is still due to go ahead.

>15% to 7.5% tariff cut in effect still
>10 month review period
>phase 2 negotiations can still start during this period

“These tariffs will stay in place until there’s a phase two. If the president gets a phase two quickly, he’ll consider releasing tariffs as part of phase two,” Mnuchin said. “If not, there won’t be any tariff relief. So it has nothing to do with the election or anything else. There’s no secret agreements.”

Ok, let me level with you guys now that all the pajeets are asleep.

I've been spreading the "crash on friday" meme on here, but I have actual reason to believe it might really happen.

Theres this guy "Martin Armstrong", he's a scammer that basically sells trading signals. One thing he has done right however is that he has this theory that every 8.6 years or something there is a big shift in the market, pic related. Backtesting isn't perfect, but it backtested very well actually. The thing I like about this theory in particular is that it goes against most quantitative models, you have to actually use your brain somewhat to determine what areas of the market you think are either extremely over or under-valued, there will never be an indicator that tells you which asset class in particular is about to go haywire.

So, he has some stupid opinions on what constitutes a shift in my opinion. I think he said something about the last turning point being in tech or something, but that doesn't line up. What does line up with his date pretty perfectly is the start of Europe's financial crisis in late 2011, and the eventual collapse of greece of course. His next date from that last "reversal point" calculates out to January 17.5 2020, Friday.

Now as of January 2nd the markets were extremely overextended, they were actually further extended then Oct 2018 before they dropped. If this was a huge bull-market where is the euphoria? I think the banks and other corporations are extremely euphoric not individual traders, if you factor in asset flows and monetary supply inflation per citizen we've actually just seen the biggest bull run in history, banks hedge funds corporations have all grown their cash balance sheets by hundreds of percents with extremely cheap debt all flowing back into their deposits, and then those hundreds of percents in balance growth have made hundreds of percents in the market on top of it. Something to think about

you have no understanding of Martin Armstrong if you are implying that he thinks an equity market crash is coming

the new cycle is an inflationary private wave in his model....meaning equities will continue rise. He even suggests that the DOW to 34,000 is likely. This inflationary cycle, if he is correct, will also inflate other assets like PM's. For him the crisis is sovereign debt and government overreach.

No, I understand that. I specifically said though I think his analysis of these turning points is incorrect however. I think his assessment that there is something special about the timeframe of 8.6 and 56 years in the market however. A huge portion of his theories revolve around 1981 being a huge bull market peak for bonds, which is just wrong lmao, that was a bear market and he clearly doesn't understand how bonds work. High volatility bonds trading /=/ bull market. That alone let me know he was retarded in his analysis. His theory of these turning points is absolutely fantastic, his analysis of public/private and asset flows though? Utter fucking garbage.

Also if anyone wants to read a paper about where we currently are in quantum computing: https://arxiv.org/abs/1801.00862

TLDR: We're in the NISQ (noisy intermediate scale quantum) era. For the next few years we're going to be building up the hardware so it's not noisy, and the most useful application will be doing noisy simulations with it (aka what google was doing).

Quantum computing is basically just applied linear algebra. You want to apply a quantum logic gate, which is like multiplying by a matrix H, like a rotation matrix. But, because we have imperfect ability to do this, it's more like multiplying by a matrix H + random noise matrix. So you don't get exactly the answer you want. Now compounding this is that useful algorithms take lots of operations on lots of qubits, which have to be done quickly because coherence time is so short. Our ability to control things is not great at the moment. So the current thing is just getting better at making quantum computers do what we want them to do.

Your coins are fine for now and will be for years. But blockchain is theoretically hackable. I don't know enough about internet coins to know if they can change it. IMO the security threats are overrated. People already know of quantum resistant cryptography schemes. So it's just a matter of, we have to re-key everyone's house in the neighborhood. Annoying and expensive, but not the end of the world.

Not much, more just a technical demonstration than anything else. Great publicity for google and the quantum computing nerds are excited, but it's not anything even remotely useful.

Also fun quantum computing fact: because these things have to run at near absolute zero in order to maintain quantum coherence, the coldest places in the universe are, as far as we know, right here on earth. Like, the D-Wave (a crappy pseudo-quantum computer) runs at 0.015 degrees above absolute zero.

very weak across the board.
the Democrats have had four years to re-tool get a fresh, strong candidate to try and win the presidency and the "top" candidates that they have are pretty fuccin embarrassing. They're struggling.
And none of the candidates really looks stronger than the others. Biden looks weak and old, but he has the establishment, so he might get the noms based on that. But whoever wins the noms will win by a pretty close margin, which will cause issues for the DNC throughout the election cycle.

They're a bunch of clowns who spend way too much money for the garbage results that their politicians show. If the DNC was a company, and it sort of is, it is certainly the worst managed company at their market cap.

Ok so no cheapies. Damn.

I’m not sure if your analysis of the DMC as a company is accurate. I bet their free cash flow and revenue have been pumping.

If they have a strong product in the pipeline, it could be wise to wait til the next product refresh cycle for a chance to unseat the dominant player in the market.

No incumbent President with a strong economy has lost re-election since Taft. If they put a good product out and it fails, it’ll be stale and have the stink of failure during the next cycle. Sometimes it’s better to wait.

people just want to stay in their houses these days. gamers especially, PC gamers super-especially.
these kids all spent thousands of their parents money on PCs, peripherals, "gaming" chairs, etc. They aren't gonna go to a gamestop to play PC games...

in most areas something like that would just be asking for theft. In most gamestops all the displays are empty cases, anything worth money is in a locked box or behind the counter.
Any business model where you just let American kids get near to PCs would be questionable, because stuff would get stolen or broken at 1000x the rate that it happens in Asia.
