Don’t know about the bot (most likely was a LARP) but there are a few factors in getting Brave ads, such as:

>what region are you in? some third-world regions only have like 1 or 2 campaigns running atm so you’re not going to get many ads
>how long ago did you turn on ads? the browser takes a while to start giving you ads because even though it’s private and all data is store locally, it still uses data to match ads to the user
>turn off auto-contribute, make sure it’s always off, never ever turn that shit on
>keep using the browser and if you’re still not getting ads after a week, ping one of the devs on the BATproject subreddit or tweet the team and there’s a 99% they’ll respond

I'm from burgerland, I've accumulated over 120BAT but as of a few months ago ads were fucked up and didn't take me to the sites so I reinstalled it to fix it, now everything is fucked I only got 2 ads and it just stopped.

Weird. Don’t know what to tell you besides maybe you need to keep browsing so your local data can better match you to ads. I mean the browser ad option does say “Up to 5 Ads” so it’s not guaranteeing anything. I think this year they’ll be perfecting the ads and adding a big amount of ad campaigns especially in the USA.

I'm sure there's bots out there but Brave stays on top of that stuff. They ban/shadowban with the quickness. Even if that Anon had a bot, he's not making anywhere near 2k, let alone 20k.

You don't have to click the ads. You get rewarded from just the pop up, but its nice to help the clickthrough rate and bump up stats if you click the pop up. Not necessary though.

You don't have to click the notification. You earn rewards from just having the notification pop up, but clicking it is good for click through rate stats among other things, but its not necessary.
