Bootleg chicken seller here. I have a guy on the inside of my local KFC who gets me the stuff I need and I steal oil from the oil recyclers for frying up delicious chicken and even chips. Everyone in my neighborhood knows where to come for the good stuff and I sell it dirt cheap. My secret is to offer a selection of spices and salts from the other fastfood places on top of the KFC special.

Checkmate plebs I'm making thousands a week selling bootleg chicken and chips and all that out of my NYC apartment and there's nothing you can do about it. ligma.

Head office already knows wagies are fucking stupid so they believe mistakes happen and things get lost or misplaced.

Key to bootlegging is staying close to the established places but changing things around so you can provide goods to people who are desperate. You're being environmental because you recycle packaging especially when they change logos do promos. And you're not bound by the rules of a single restaurant, you can mix and match.

Find some people who work for local fastfood place. Entice them to make mistakes that produce food that isn't bad but cannot be sold legally by the restaurant. Get them to leave it somewhere you can get to easily. Cameras make this tricky but it's possible. Best to know people higher up. Making connections is easy if you know people who work there but don't have a good ethic and are likely to get fired anyways. Cut them in form a piece of the action.

Staff turnover is so high there is never a shortage of people to work with. Plus they're desperate for staff so you can use the same person at several locations.

You'll also need oil and equipment for larger production. You can take orders in advance if you're sure you can fulfil them. I generally offer specials on mixed bags and mix and match recipes. Storage isn't usually a concern because you can hustle your supply within the day. Anything leftover at the end is discounted or worse case scenario donated to the homeless.

Don't overlook the usefulness of the homeless. Street people were Sherlock's eyes and ears for a reason. They know the best places to find good stuff and you can provide a service by cooking it for them. I like to think of it as guerilla chefing sticking it to the system while making a profit.

People are hungry even in first world countries. Current supply chains and production systems produce so much waste. You can take advantage of this. The french call it "gleaning" going over the fields collecting what was missed during the harvest. When branding is involved though it is more like bootlegging.
