I do this. Kind of feel like a loser, but don't want a real job because I'm always drained. I feel maybe I can eventually luck myself into a school or get some job for a utility company or whatever (those actually pay middle class for some reason).

I don't do shit and it's kind of funny they pay me for nothing. Like I literally don't do shit besides patrol on foot. If I'm covering a shift, I might just drive in a parking lot all day or watch people through a camera (not in stores, but in places where I am making sure no funny business goes on).

THIS IS THE EASIEST AND LAZIEST JOB EVER LOOL

It is a little embarrassing at times though, but it beats having a real job.

What do you guys think about security? You see them as losers who either are too stupid or lazy for real jobs? You don't care? etc.
I'm curious

I did security for 4 years. The firsttwo years I didn't mind it, but eventually I just couldn't stand wasting my own time for shit pay anymore.

fuck do i care about others if i was a security guard. You just need shekels while maintaining ur health long enough to buy the dip.

what do you do now? There's this other job that pays shit, but it's a library job (like some helper. Not security related). It's a city job fulltime I think and it seems chill while not being as boring.

I'm also considering doing a teacher's assistant job or something like that. Have a 2 yr degree and I dont think I'll fonish the ba I was doing mosty because of the cost (wont even be able to pay it off until like mid 30s if I continued. Fuck that. I have no debt. I hate debt).

I'm an IT tech now. I don't regret it, I met a lot of good people and learned to be more confident in myself, but I didn't want to do it forever. Then the chainlink google pump happened and I had the peace of mind that I could go look for something I was more interested in without worrying about going broke.

No. I literally can't do shit. I can't even touch the person if they rob (I could lose my job and my manager would have to relocate me to another place). They pay me for show. It's hilarious, but it also feels fucking retarded. The most I can do is report it.

Same. I went to Paramedic school, made 80k and got fucking sick of that too and got a 4 year degree. I am much more comfy in my current job.

My biggest advice to you anon, is that you should invest in yourself as soon as early in life as you can. I regret pissing away 2 years of my life walking around a biotech campus at night for $16/hr lol.

That was 2 years of missed earnings I could have put towards my house downpayment or stacking more LINK.

It is 100% a ripoff but we gotta play the game all the same. That said, I did manage to go to school for free which was a big help. It doesn't have to be school, idk what you want to do, my advice to myself when I was back in your shoes would be to not waste time stagnating when you could be progressing. Good luck man.

I've hated every job I've ever held, can't explain it just feels like torture. I've learned that if you pretend to be just retarded enough for people to not trust you but accomplish just enough to not be fired you find the sweet spot of not giving a fuck. I'm hoping to hold out long enough for gains and to retire in some poor developing country where I can live off $600 a month

Im also a security bro. Earn like $16 an hour at a private hotel. Two 12 hour shifts and two 8's so i end up getting three days off a week. The shifts are overnight, and the guests are usually not even at the hotel for the 12's. Basically just refresh the same few websites all day. Occasionally I try to do a little mturk work and article writing. Feel like im just spinning my wheels. What keeps me there is the free prime rib and crab, good pay considering the line of work, and the fact its the devil i know. I hear horror stories of people going off to school to become engineers or teachers, and in less than 4 years they are looking for work in a completely unrelated field. Sometime i think i want to go back to school for finance, but i have that creeping thought that im going to spend a ton of money to buy a job i hate.
