I used to do this at a busy intersection near my house. Rush hour 7am to 10am are the best times. Mostly luxury cars driving into the city. Not so good at night when its too dark. Each light was a minute 20. Every light 2-3 cars would give mostly 5s, 10s, and 20s, occasionally you get a sucker drop a 100 and you got to act like you've never seen a 100 dollar bill before, say god bless you sir, etc. They love that shit. I averaged about $12-1300 an hour. Working monday through thursdays I could rake in $20k/month.

Eventually I had to stop because the scene got too crowded. I started to have a turf war with this other "homeless" guy who ended up joining a gang of panhandlers. I figured I'd just quit while I was ahead and retire.
