Im currently working on jailbreaking the Nintendo Switch lite. When going trough the code and files, I found something strange, I found a few class names like "NWConnection", I kept digging and I discovered multiple things:

Its using a 1:1 copy of Safari, and even parts of frameworks from apple. Believe it or not
Apple is about to buy Nintendo.

Now can anyone that is familiar with stocks tell me how I can make money from this knowledge?

The only reason you would use apple iOS frameworks is because you are about to use Apple ARM chipsets. At the moment they are using Tegra. So this indicates a huge step.

I can't find the license on it but it seems to save a ton of time, such as configuring a LAN/wifi connection, talking to peers (online battles?).

The key is to find the license for it. If it is a very open license, especially for commercial use, then that would weaken your buyout opinion.

Apple is not buying Nintendo. Apple has been working with Nintendo since the CEO was on the stage at the WWDC in 2016, they probably have iOS hooks in the Switch to connect to the apps Apple has on the App store.

A call option is the RIGHT but not the OBLIGATION to buy the underlying issue (nintendo) at the agreed upon price (exercise price) on the expiration date (or before, look up continental/american options)

Usually they’re sold in buckets off 100 so instead of buying the stock you get the option to buy 100s of the stock instead, thus multiplying your investment should something drastic like a buyout happen

However if you go balls deep on options and make a few million expect the IRS/SEC to come talk

Also your idea is dumb as shit and you shouldnt throw your money away

I do not believe shorting would be a good move. You’d have to know specifics about the acquisition. You could however buy it while it’s down and just hold onto it while it climbs back above the pre-acquisition price. For example: Nintendo is $50 a share and let’s just say Apple is $300 a share. You’d buy Nintendo now. During the acquisition Apple’s price would drop bc of the cash they’re forking over. You would buy Apple then. When it’s said and done, Apple’s price should spike because they now have a huge asset.

I’m not a broker or anything though so take my advice lightly.

You have to specify the call options timeframe in advance

If stock doesnt raise in price you lose the premium you paid.

Nintendo's much too big and has way too powerful of IPs to ever allow a total acquisition to happen. They own at least 33% of the Pokemon IP and Pokemon is the biggest media franchise in existence drawing in revenue of $90 billion. No one is ever going to take that from Nintendo.

I'd imagine at most Nintendo would announce a partnership with Apple and they'd trading shares to each other, akin to Nintendo buying 10% of DeNA's stocks and DeNa buying some percentage of Nintendo's stocks when they announced a partnership. This would definitely benefit Nintendo's stock price if they were to announce it. Both Ninty's and Apple's. So I'd long the cheaper of the two and sell at the news, if I were as confident as you that they were going to collaborate for Ninty's next system. But their share prices are already pretty high so I bet you'd find better returns trading shitcoins. I do plan on buying Ninty shares for the dividends when I make it, so there's that.

Here are the reason why I bought a Nintendo Switch lite and not another smartphone.

1. Quality games like Zelda wild thingy and full major titles without being cut or castrated when porting to the nintendo like the Witcher3. Doom, Wolfenstein 2, Alien isolation, Lego Worlds, GTA clone (Lego City undercover), Xcom clone with Mario, Warcraft 3 clone northward, D2 clone titan quest) etc

2. The controller, Dpad and joystick, quality of the device

3. Ecosystem

What would happen if the Nintendo Switch becomes a phone. Would It replace my phone? I can't remember when I held my phone to my ear the last time, when im talking im always using my AirPods or headphones so the form factor would not be a problem. Size would be a problem perhaps, the switch lite is still pretty large.
And making it smaller would compromise the controller feel. If they switch to on screen touch etc people would not buy it so that would defeat the purpose.
So im not sure nintendo could make the switch to a phone.
The only way I could see nintendo making a phone is if its a giant screen without bezels and you can attach the joy cons to it making it a Nintendo Switch so you can carry the controllers separate in the other pocket and the smartphone in the other.
