True but it also exist because poor people have less financial knowledge or leverage like rich people. No business tax loopholes. No dividend tax cuts, no capital gains tax (less then income tax). Poor people get loans and mortgages at way higher interest rates. They also have to pay higher in proportion to a rich person in their day to day living expenses and bills. A single bank overdraft fee can fuck up a week of a poor person.

If you are rich, you have that much financial leverage, there is absolutely no way to fail in life. If you are born poor you're fucked for life.

Other than the rich dad poor dad meme. Poor people can't buy assets because there are much more barriers to obtain those assets. Like if you work in McChickies your entire life and you spend 70% of your income just on your rent, you won't be able to make enough to save or open a brokerage account and start buying etf index fund to earn those sweet 8% return on a single voo stock.
