You won't earn any HOT/Holochain coins until the project is moved into "Beta" from Alpha. This project will move into Beta sometime in 2020 the developers say. We all know that means 2021-2022. They expect users to use their own money for a holoport then to help debug for a year without compensation. Why is anyone doing this?

I feel like most users are going to be very disappointed when they realize this. Not to mention once Beta is live, others will be able to host holochain on their own PCs/servers rendering the four year old holoport tech completely useless.

IF it actually works your hardware will be 3+ years out if date anyway, and anybody will be able to use their own machines.
