I believe that as long as digital currencies will continue to be tied to Bitcoin then the price will continue to rise so long as crypto is integrated into more areas of finance.
But if a Tether FUD comes crashing down with an investigation like some anon was shilling last week, then I think the volatility will be insane causing people to be very wary of it for another few years.

My guess is for sure it will reach 50K at some point in the future. Maybe within the first 300 days. But I would expect a big FUD like I said. One on a scale that we haven't seen before.

Narrative We are fairly closely following 2016 so far. Relative to the relevant prior all-time high ($1,151 for 2016 and $19,800 for 2020) the starting price in 2016 ($447) was relatively close to the starting price for the 2020 halving (Starting price for 2020 halving was $8,148 (price 6mos prior to May 20, 2020) - scaled up $447 is equivalent to $7,689.

And we're seeing a dip similar in magnitude to what we say 4-6mos prior to the 2016 halving. If this continues to play out, we'll have a a couple months ranging around $7-8k. And a speculative bump as we near May. and then a pullback.

It's really post-halving where we have the potential for the supply impact to increase the probability of a moon run.

>> No.16620975

>>16620970

Once we're past the halving (May 2020) we enter a zone where we could moon at any time. The supply shock provided by the halving provides us with the equivalent of a powder keg waiting around for a spark - who knows exactly when (or if) the spark will happen. Or what the spark will be. If I were guessing I'd say we're more prone to mooning now, than ever before. The world is already familiar with bitcoin, financial talking heads are fluent enough to engage in real discussion and there's a firmly entrenched narrative of digital gold that answers the use case question.

Beyond that, we've got more onramps than ever. Institutional FOMO is my wettest wet dream. But, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Now is the time to accumulate for long-term capital gains treatment. Now is the time to be patient. Or, if you're a short term trader, play chop here, but also understand how past cycles might repeat

The projected prices I stated are correct if you go by the pre/post price action of the previous halvings. Yes bitcoin's post halving ATH in 2021 would be $360,918 if bitcoin follows the previous halvings price action. That doesn't mean this will happen though.

>>16623859
Don't think like that anon. Nobody believed in bitcoin for 8 years and many still don't believe in it. Many people still think it's some scam or bitcoin is even a company kek. You would have laughed at it and called it a scam like everyone else. And in the off chance that you did invest, you would have sold low like when you doubled your money and thought you made out like a bandit. Or even worse, lost your bitcoin to one of the man exchange hacks. So don't feel bad.

I had a friend that mined and traded back in 2010 and he sold all of his coins in 2012 for about $20 and felt like he made out sooooo well and he was pretty damn smug about it. I was still heavily interested in bitcoin at the time and kept investing more and he would laugh at me and say it's hopeless and there is no way it will ever reach $1000.

Needless to say, I haven't heard from him or been able to find him in about 5 years now. I actually fear he might have killed himself but I really don't know. He had well over 1000 bitcoin....

Way back in the day, in 2010 2011 2012 I used to try to teach people I knew IRL all about bitcoin/cryptocurrency. Not one person bought any, I was the butt of many jokes though. They really felt I was retarded. I've never mention bitcoin/crypto or attempted to teach anyone about crypto since 2012, and I never will again. I honestly really regret that I ever did.

If they don't care, don't want to listen, and ridicule me for my investments and beliefs, then fuck em!

Anyways, good luck to you!

>no new teck
kek.
Lightning network has been a work in progress, sure, but big names like Bitfinex implemented already. It's only a matter of time before someone like bakkt or NYSE implements it.
>low volume
we're in an accumulation phase, of course volume is going to be low. only uber nerds and whales are buying atm.
Tether is tether, who fucking cares.
low tx's per second, but "the record" has been immutable for 11 years. Even if a TX takes hours upon hours to "confirm", faith in the blockchain to resolve it properly will only grow. When you send an outbound tx, you KNOW it's going to confirm, eventually.

btc not going anywhere, top fucking kek. It's the unironically the future of finance.

This is retarded. BTC only went up due to ICO mania in 2017 and some Chinese ponzi this year. There are no new buyers left in crypto
