Short term good as deregulation encourages investment and government can spend tax dollars elsewhere (or drop taxes), long term bad as the system starts to ossify and 'the tragedy of the commons' sets in because there's no big momma government to invest in infrastructure or upskilling the plebs.
Of course it never happens like this, just like "you've never seen *truuuue* communism" you've never seen true neolibrealism.

Most neoconservatives are neoliberals, in fact I struggle to think of anyone who could be described as neoconservative but not a neoliberal. There was a small group of 2 or 3 guys who called themselves neoliberals as a joke, but it's not an actual ideology. Neoconservatism is and its actually Keynesian as fuck (nothing to do with Adam Smith/F. A. Hayek's classical liberalism) with bullshit like war creates profit that puts money in people's pockets, that stimulates the economy.
