Palladium, gold and platinum are all viable long term. If that's what you want to invest into, go for it. But I wouldn't make it the main thing in my Portfolio, personally I just have single 1oz Platinum Coin and I'm only going to sell it when it's worth at least 5x more than when I bought it.

But yeah, that fucking Palladium Bull Run is amazing, if only it was easier to sell quickly as it is with gold and silver.

US has no silver VAT but has sales tax depending on state. Some states have no taxes at all, some states have exemptions (e.g. buy $1000+ at a time and you are not taxed) and some states tax everything.

No target. I'm buying every month as much as I can EASILY afford, sometimes be it only a £100.
Now I'm just waiting for the Silver:Gold ratio to get a bit less ridiculous, so I can sell about 30% of my silver and buy gold. Then just wait for either a financial crisis, retirement at the ripe age of 40 or when the price goes to 400 per ounce. Whichever comes first.

> one for myself, whatever else I buy is for renting
>enjoy the rest of my stress-free life, watching the poor bastards struggling to pay their rent to their Magnificent Landlord, that's me

I buy a nominal four ounces every week but I divide that historical price by the spot price of the day and multiply that four ounces by the quotient. I spend close to the same price on silver every week as a result because this is dollar cost averaging it. As the price goes up I buy less silver and as it goes down I buy more.

No, it's funny how mismanaging your money and living above your means works. Having 1k a month to spare making 45k/ is fucking fantastic because it means you're saving/investing slightly over 25% of your income. Saving only 1k at 145k means you are saving a measly 8% of your income.

I don't know what your rent/mortage is, or what your family is, but you could easily save more money if you took at hard look at your finances and cut out all the bullshit you think adds value to your life. 25% would be difficult (especially with Cali gas prices), but you should be aiming for at least 15%.

t. making 40k and saving/investing 1k a month also.

Different coins have different premiums. Maples, Eagles and Britannias for example are "generic" and usually have almost no premium to them. It's a good idea to buy them if you stack silver just for income/financial security when Jewish Paper Money collapses.

If you want to buy coins that can have a potential collection value in the future, you buy the "good shit" like Chinese Pandas or Queen's Beasts. Government-Issued Collector coins can be worth more than double it's original price.

Look at this motherfucker right here. This is a 2oz Silver Coin. Generally speaking it should be worth about £30, that's the price of 2 ounces of silver. But this one in mint condition is worth about £80 right now. And it's gonna be more and more expensive each year. They're no longer produced, and it's a part of 10-coin collection called "The Queen's Beasts".

Coin's value depends on great many factors, not just how shiny on how heavy it is.

>> No.16548722

>>16548426

If you have a lot of different coins (1 of each year of a series, this special release that special release etc.) you will need to spend a lot of time and effort to try to get premium over spot for each coin/set.

If you just buy mass 1oz maples/eagles and 10oz/100oz RCM bars you can quickly liquidate any small or large amount without needing to try to get a premium because this is a muh queen's beast from 2018 and it has a lion on it.

You can make a profit from premium stuff just know it takes time, effort, and knowledge to make that profit. If you want to low effort silver, just buy the RCM bars/coins or eagles.
