So let me get this straight biz.
BTC removed signatures from transactions which was the most fundamental aspect of Bitcoin
They openly say fuck the Whitepaper
They openly say Satoshi is not relevant
They push for off-chain transactions on the LN
They say BTC is not for small transactions
They promote BTC as something to hoard and hodl rather than use as cash

Yet they insist on calling themselves Bitcoin.
How come? What am I missing?

Government(s) managed to keep it under control now and it’s no longer decentralized. We had our time of freedom for a bit.

dumbass if they treat btc like it's just something to hoard and if the shit they do encourages most people not to spend it then they're fucking themselves over as well as the rest of us in the long-term. Bitcoin fulfils a purpose, if you take that away or detract from it it just turns into another value-less bubble

Times have changed boomer
Bitcoin is digital gold now - GOLD 2.0
Go play with Craig's or Roger's bitcoin if you want fast cheap p2p electronic cash transactions
(or one of the thousands of other insecure shitcoins)
Meanwhile crypto whales like myself will continue to keep the majority of our crypto holdings in BTC

we have to spend our bitcoins in order to create more jobs.

we will build an amazing bitcoin economy with 7 billion people.

then everyone will see the success and bitcoin will moon to the moon.

Of course all of the devs and influential people in bitcoin have huge stacks of BTC so why wouldn't they do that? It's in their interest to do that

The fact that other influential early adopters have forked off precisely because of all of that should be a huge red flag

I meant the core devs pushing for store of value etc which is better for them since they're already sat on a big stack of bitcoin.
Early adopters Ver, et al already forked off due to disagreements with core about them deviating away from the white paper, which should be enough of a red flag for anyone
