tfw you realise that what people are already knocking up in Chainlink hackathons over a couple of days is more impressive than what is happening in 99% of other crypto projects.

Total return swaps for node operators to hedge risk, denominated in LINK, and staking isn't even out yet. If you don't have a permanent erection at this point there is no hope for you.

kek wut, the level of adoption of Chainlink (zero) is absolutely pathetic for the amount of time their mainnet has been out and the media attention it has gotten. It's basically confirmed vaporware/scam at this point, not a single dev wants to touch it

Basically a way for node operators to "sell the risk" of the Chainlink token going down in price while their tokens are locked in contracts.
And a way for people who own LINK to buy leverage by taking that risk on. So the person who "buys the risk" loses LINK if it dumps (and the LINK goes to the node operator who is now protected against the dumping by the fact they have more LINK), but if LINK moons then the person lending gets more as if they had a margin position (and the node operator wins anyway because LINK is mooning);.

That is some dumb shit and a lot of risk, working around the simple fact that DAI would just be better collateral. Why would an enterprise level node operator want to enter into what is basically a short position just to run a node? Are you retarded? People will drop this idea just at the thought of being forced to take a trading position just to lose some risk in return for some other risk

>> No.16489476

>>16489458
Total Return Swaps are literally already part of options trading and traditional finance.
And if you wanted to denominate collateral in the form of a stablecoin then the way to do that would literally be with decentralised oracles and a LINK/DAI bridge.

LINK would still need to be staked in the contract. Atomic swapping would just give you DAI, which you can't put up as collateral in the Chainlink network. You would need oracles to call the equivalent amount of DAI in a separate account.

i agree that FUD and level of discussion on this board is non existent, after i cashed out 2X my initial and still sitting on a bigger stack that i monetized, i'm just barely paying attention to /biz/. went from checking this board every single day like 20-30 times, reading threads etc, to just not giving a fuck.

if you want to come here and argue with pajeets and other shitskins with double digit iq who barely would understand how can opener works without youtube video , this is the place to go.

i'm reading twitter nowadays just to get news, and following some traders, not to trade, just to see what's market been up to.

funny thing is scott melker aka wolf of all streets on twitter, is on fire if it comes to link, and called last price actions with pin-point accuracy. and he's not deleting tweets so that's a plus.

to summarize last months of my /biz/ experience, it's just like Don Kichote (me) trying to fight windmills (pajeets).

ofcourse i will come back here, because you can't leave this place, and refresh with "most replies" once or twice, but i couldn't fuckin care less about creating my own threads trying to spark a discussion.

everything has been said. now it's a waiting game.
>bought LINK through entire 2018, lowest buy-in was couple thousand at 17 cents(thanks faggots)
>held through entire 2019 almost
>missed 4$ sell point, was at the PC ready to hit the order button

>sold 40% of stack at 2.3$ to cash out 2X my initial investment
>left with bigger stack for moon mission
>zero emotions
>zero risk
>will cash out small batches on the way up
>don't give a fuck about anyone opinion
>will sell at my price points, or hold this coin forever

stay hard, pic related is my work on chan before i lost hope to post shit here anymore.

yeah but the fact that we still don't have flags coming into 2020 on a finance board is what gives this opportunity to ranjeesh and daneesh to be paid equivalent of toilet roll to sit here all day and create fake traffic in shilling threads and bash/distort every single good thread, and it's not about LINK in general.

every fuckin thread is flooded with nonsense, reports don't work, and the level will not rise if there's no action taken.

i don't come here to get some breadcrumbs, i came here to talk with people, exchange ideas, and wonder what if.

if someone comes here to get "a leak" only thing that will be leaking is their asshole after they base their financial decision on some anime anon forum.

Hackathon winner here. The way the team handled the submissions and winners let me believe that they already had plenty of stuff going on.

It felt like they were handling it as a fun side project to further spread the word about the tech and what it can do; since they’re otherwise unable to disclose projects going on in the background because of ndas. This gave them something to talk about publicly.
