>they still don't understand the link tokenomics and how it differs from whatever they are fantasizing
You will forever be sergey's cucks.

>He still thinks you need a spescialized token to be an oracle
Please explain why the LINK token is needed? Why not just use bitcoin (bsv)?

>> No.16460719

Imagine thinking you need a tokenized representation of a product or service instead of just paying money for a product or service.

>>16460719
Yeah I mean what sense would it make to be able to tokenize commodities and then have them be infinitely divisible, programmable, and quickly transactable

>> No.16460763

>>16460743
you can do all that with bitcoin. The link token brings nothing of value to the table. It is just an extra unneeded step. You may try to convince me otherwise

Just use Bitcoin.

Looks like op doesnt understand it either.

please convince me of the opposite, how can you have an oracle on chain?

>> No.16461043

>>16461010
The chain is the Oracle. How don't you get that? If I upload false data on chain I am fucked if a smart contract executes because of that.

>> No.16461061

>>16461043
What stops you from uploading false data to turn a contract to your favor?

You and the posters above are dumb faggots, sorry. I'm not even a Chainlink holder, but you must be retarded and tech-illiterate to believe that uploading data to the blockchain (a slow and expensive database, btw) is the same as making sure that data suppliers don't cheat.

You need an EVM for collateralizing

also there is a technical reason but that's for you to discover

>> No.16461511

>>16461490
The link token is just a stupid token. It has nothing extra that bitcoin doesn't have. So, the same question remains. Why don't they just use bitcoin?

so you don't know? lmao

>> No.16461536

>>16461511
Because you need an EVM for collateralizing tokens. No bitcoin variety includes an implementation of Chainlink natively. You'd have to create it from the ground up.

>> No.16461561

>>16461521
I know, I just don't care. It's in the documentation, it's in the archives probably 500 times. Get off your lazy ass and figuring something out for yourself. Or don't and buy cregvision, I don't care.

>> No.16462337

>>16461536
BSV already has tokenize. However it isn't used for pumping retarded worthless tokens. It's used as a peg or as another use such as tickets. Tokens aren't required for collateral. You could just use Bitcoin. However the whole thing is stupid. What is going to happen in the real world is someone will either just use an oracle they trust or a whole slew of them to get data feeds. Besides it's not like the oracle knows for sure the data it's providing is truth or not, it's just a fucking bridge. The only caveat to that is a dishonest oracle could alter data, however they won't be in the business long if that's their game anyway.

>> No.16462459

>>16462337
The Chainlink implementation uses tokens for collateral. You can go ahead and create another implementation, no one's stopping you.

>> No.16462500

>>16462459
There won't be another implementation because decentralized oracles are a fucking meme.
