I dropped out of college and am looking for a career outside of academia as well. At this point I just want something stable with some perspective.

I dropped out of college because i couldn't decide what path to take. College ended up feeling like hell because I'd have to listen to these liberal retards try to program me all day without the motivation of knowing it's going to lead to a career.

To be honest the meme of do what you like to do is shockingly real.
I almost completed my studies in aeronautics, and there's nothing i hate more than airplanes and manual work, working will be a living hell, not matter the money.
If there's nothing you like to do, just pick a brainless job, for example warehouse works, and care more about your health and to find a work environment that suits you

My path:
>Start college shortly after recession
>Everyone I trust tells me: Business isn't safe!
>Everyone I trust tells me: Humanities are a meme
>Pure path? Nah.
>Okay, science it is
>Study chemistry and genetics
>Go to apply for jobs
>R&D roles pay poorly
>Other roles pay better but they're called "Quality"
>Wtf is that I didn't hear about this in college
>Read up on it
>Basically just regulatory bureaucracy for the company to prepare for the FDA, but requires an understanding of what the chemists are doing to make the medication along with knowing regulations only people in pharma/med device know
>Sounds like no one would want to do this
>No one does- therefore it pays and is secure
>I accept this position

The market basically dictated my path for me.

The only thing I'm sure of it that I want to make a lot of money, I want to do something high level but I don't know in which field at all. I'm still living in denial that I'm not special and just another wage slave to make some jew rich.

Figuring out how to minimize your upkeep is a better thing to focus on. I make 70k a year before benefits. I can do side things to make more, but it isn't worth my time. I make more as I get older because that's just how it works. That is annoying and doesn't allow you control. I can control how much I spend and what I spend it on. Focus on things within your power, don't obsess over how the system is poor. You won't change it and you just dig yourself down a bad hole when you do that.

I'm a fairly smart person, but intelligence doesn't really get you that far even in a technical field. The best thing it gets you is being able to make it sound like you're doing something hard/time consuming when you really aren't.
