Many places in asia/sea airbnb subletting is illegal. You can be kicked out of the apartment and your stuff ransacked instantly at any time, because the faggot chink you renting from didn't tell you about the scam.

Happened to me in Thailand, and I lost not only 300 bucks worth of rent but also a new switch and some expensive cologne that the thai ratfucks who "evicted" me stole out of my bag while I was out.

Many cities in USA have the same bullshit. Especially in rent controlled zones where some grandfathered in faggot pays 200 dollars a month for an apartment and rents it out for 80 dollars a night. Very common.

You sometimes have multi layered subletting going on. Original owner sublets to renter who sublets to airbnb.

It's a real shitshow and it drives up rent prices elsewhere that aren't rent controlled. Rent control is of course a scam in itself but that's another story.
