Get an iPad, subscribe to safari books, read 40 books in 12 months (use IQ to figure out what). Make your last few books about algorithms. Do leetcode forb3 months after that year, mostly focusing on curated FAANG lists and medium level problems. Your difficulty distribution should be 20/60/20 for easy/med/hard. Apply to non FAANG companies that hire like FAANG for interview prep (Uber, Snapchat, Airbnb, Booking whatever). Apply to Google and Facebook through referralas (there's a service online to ask for these). Be so good to get offers from both, make them aware you have both offers and make Google increase theirs. The average salary for a software engineer in the UK after 4 years is £70.000. Silicon valley salary for someone with 4 years experience is over $100.000.
What the actual fuck have you been doing as a programmer? How many languages do you know? Can you design a system from scratch?
I've earned around 3500 pounds a month as a summer intern webdev. I haven't even finished my second year of university and I already have dozens of well paying jobs waiting for me.
Literally the easiest career for the money you earn.
Tip: look online for the most sough after programming languages and software engineering related skills, and then learn them. Hell, go the extra mile to blow the competition out of the water by learning the latest trendy programming language. Also, read the book "Cracking the Coding interview" if you need some help with passing interviews. Lastly, be more cynical of people and don't trust them too easily, programming is a competitive career.
