Bought a 1kg 2019 Kookaburra coin recently, gonna buy more soon. What do you recommend? I'm thinking a 1kg 2020 Kookaburra and a few 1oz coins. I'll have about €800 to spend.

already have a 500 oz stack.

i need gold. i have no gold. but i can't afford 1500+ per purchase and I don't want to get fucked spending more in the long run for 1/10ths.... is there such thing as junk gold???

i'd like to get to 1k oz of silver.... is "industrial silver" a good investment?

Silver is silver as long as it comes from a known mint. I sometimes grab seconds just to increase my stack on the cheap. It's still .999 and you can pick them up usually for like .40-.50 over spot.

I would try to get a 2016 or 2018 kookaburra since those designs seem to be more popular and they're older but not so old that the premiums are crazy yet.

No visible mint marks and requires verification by acid test to prove it's legit. I would avoid unless just simply using it to increase stack size and to hold very long term.

Silver eagles or generic rounds. Fuck everything else except low mintage libertads.
I had 5 kilo coins at one time but sold them all. To bulky harder to liquidate no premium

Honestly it depends on where you live. If you're a eurofag it's probably a good idea to get mostly those since local coinshop or pawnshop owners will be most familiar with them.

Think of silver as savings or a hedge against inflation, not as a speculative investment. Made more money on crypto than I ever did on silver. Think holistically, diversify your assets, buy in steady but constant amounts to minimize dollar cost averaging, look up precious metal iras. Silver alone won't save you when shtf, however unlikely that may be, but having some makes me sleep easy, instead of having paper currency in a bank. Peace of mind is priceless.

>low threshold to start stacking
>effective hedge against inflation
>"undervalued" when compared to gold - it's considered likely that the gap will decrease with either silver rising or gold falling
>being hoarded and price-suppressed by (((them))) for reasons that haven't become entirely clear yet
>fairly recent supply challenges
>history of success during recessions
>holds value during SHTF scenario
That's just what I can think of right now. There are also reasons NOT to buy. It isn't an investment. If you treat it like one, you'll probably get burned and feel like a retard.

Depends on the type of silver. For generic bar, expect to pay $1-3 over spot on average, but you have less liquidity, meaning that when you go to sell, most dealers will pay at or under spot, meaning you have to hold longer. For generic rounds, expect slighty higher prices compared to bars. For state bullion like ASEs, expect a even higher premium, but if you buy in bulk you're still paying $3-4 over spot for the higher liquidity, which means you sell you can get at or slightly over spot. My lcs usually buys cull ASEs at spot and BU ASEs at $1 over spot.

https://findbullionprices.com

You can get spot prices, but only for new buyers, I would wait for $14-16 to buy at spot, given historic trends.

False, at least for silver, most silver gets used in an industrial capacity. Silver is actually undervalued if you use Exeter's pyramid as a refrence. Also, price spoofing artificially deflates the price.
