time preference: When you buy stocks you get preferential treatment depending how long you have been on the waiting list

delay gratification: waiting a set amount of time before giving thanks to market makers who made your stocks or crypto go up, essential manners that come from the old days of stock trading.

rent seeking: looking for places to rent which a lot of people who play the market do so as not to have all their money tied down in mortgage payments.
