Hi,

I am looking for an anon in SEA, we spoke about wood industry a couple of days ago, but the thread died. I need more info about your teak wood.

I'm not the guy, maybe you could check some local shops in the Philippines for wood. If you can go here you must definitely visit Paete, Laguna

SEA anon here.

The important thing here is to avoid ALL timber form Myanmar, cambodia and laos if you care about rain forests at all...

For mahogany and teak there are certified suppliers from Indo, malaysia and possibly Philippines. (not sure about thai)

my contact usually gets mahogany from indonesia where is is not native so i dont feel as bad about it...

just to add, this is not my profession. I just live here and work in related industries, know furniture suppliers and people from the countries in question who can find stuff and sort out prices. There is nothing in it for me one way or another but happy to answer Q.
