That is what is happening if you go into over saturated markets with no idea on how to EFFECTIVELY SPAM

>> No.16300061

Just because you have a pretty good product it doesn't really matter.
That market is absolutely saturated with all kinds of crap, not to mention a lot of this stuff can easily be acquired for free from youtube.
Good to keep in mind people have the attention span of a goldfish nowadays.
I'd say you'd have a better chance of selling this stuff on youtube or as an audiobook. If you started a health channel and constantly shilled your book at the end of the videos, you'd have a real chance of selling it.
Or do what anon above me said. Pay instathots to shill your book for you. They put up ads for like 20-50$ from what I hear. You'll reach way more people through that than having some youtube ad playing.
Also show the cover art. Is it actually eye catching or just generic as fuck.

about the cover art, I think is too elegant for the subject.

is it possible that selling it on amazon is a better idea? on amazon I'd be making a lot less each sell, but people there are more willing to buy and read an ebook.

Why would I read a book about health from you? Do you have a PhD in nutritional science or biochemistry? Do you have something original to add through your own research or are you just parroting the scientific opinions of people who are more qualified than you? I think you're approaching this slightly the wrong way.
You need to sell this thing on EVERY platform you possibly can, regardless of what kind of piece you're taking home. The goal is to sell so many of them that it doesn't matter how much the marketplace gives you.
If your goal is to sell 10 every month or so, you might as well print the damn thing out and go selling it door to door. That way you'd get even more money and probably more sales than hanging out in some marketplace hoping you'll get discovered.
You basically need to spam the ever living shit out of your product for it to be seen. Also do a lot of market research. What kinds of people would buy this thing, what sites do they hang on, what instathots do they follow etc.. so you can maximize the gains from your marketing.
I was looking into dropshipping couple of years ago myself, but came to the conclusion it's basically just lucking out with your ads, when you have actually figured out where your potential audience hangs out. Decided not to have a go at it, because the chances of making any money there are nonexistent in this saturated market.

thanks. but the problem is that I can't waste more of my time and money to get this to sell. I'm already wasting money with domains and the ads I bought. i need to be more effective in whatever else I do. this is not my main source of income and it was supposed to be a source of extra cash. I cannot invest more of time and money and then sell 2 or 10, or break even. I work as freelancer, and my time is worth money.
about a thousand people saw the ad on youtube (that's directed to a niche, and appears on related videos about the subject) and just about 5 went to the website. that's when I decided to turn off the ads and stop wasting money.

I don't think it's going to pan out.
These things are a way to cash out on your influence. Like you're an instagram thot and have a big audience? Make an ebook and shill it your followers.
It's not going to work the other way round.

The ebook may make money if you manage to get an audience in some other way, but it's not going to make money by itself. That's just the hard truth.

You went through the effort of doing it and that's admirable, good for you. Worst case scenario, it doesn't sell as much as you'd like (or at all), but it is a good portfolio piece. However, it can be even more than that if you let the experience teach you some things, such as:

> know your audience
> plan ahead
> even defeats can lead to victories if you let them become learning experiences

I suggest reading about the concept of a Business Model Canvas (basically do market research) and how it could fit in your efforts and also take a look at "The Four Steps to
the Epiphany". Both BMC and the Four Steps can be found online and are free. If you believe your book was ok, which I have no reason to doubt, then it seems to me like you should reconsider the marketing and business parts of your efforts

Waste of time, normie audience, make money off of youtube ads instead by taking your book and reading into a camera with infographics. Normies dont want to read breh, they dont have time because they are all wagecucks driving two hours everyday going to and from work. Capitalize on that time by making podcast style vids. Normies will lap that shit up.

it's true. in the process I learned a lot about this kind of thing. how valuable is to have people looking at whatever you're posting. even if you post shitty memes. even if your content is meaningless.
i wanted to remain anonymous, which is even worse. a face (even an ugly one) and a name always sell better on social media.
also I lost the boom of ebooks about health in my country. now it's all about video classes with some niche celebrity.
hopefully I can use this knowledge to something worthwhile in the future. something I can associate my name with

The main point of BMC and Four Steps is that you should know your audience before commiting to any business venture. Do market research, see what people want to read not just what you want to write. You will know it's the good shit when you realize that this simple concept is the same as many of Sun Tzu's teachings, such as "the victorious general wins the battle before stepping into it" etc

While we're at it, try reading the Art of War as well it's good and can also be found for free on the internets

>> No.16300488

thanks, I just replied talking about what've learned.
also, I did some research and answered important questions about what I was doing. if I explained it to you before I do, showing how I saw the demand, and what and how I'd sell, you'd probably agree that it was a good idea.

>>16300455
I knew my audience because I was the audience, what I did was something I'd like to buy/know years ago.

I had a lot more ideas to sell it. like making a blog with some normie content, just to have more publicity. make a bunch of small pages that redirect to each other, etc. build a instagram with health tips, etc. but the problem is that the roi (time is money) is not worth it. i`d do that if I had already sold a dozen. if I was sure that when people saw the ad they`d be as interested as I thought they'd be.

basically my main mistake was to believe the target audience would buy if they saw the ad. My lowest estimates were too good.

Having an accent (as long as you're understandable) can be an asset. Like Ivan on tech, he's memorable because of his heavy Russian accent. It makes you unique if you own it.

>you didn't do a fuckin proper research in the field
>you did a research but you are too fuckin retarded to understand /fit/ market
>you even bought the ads for it and built a website
>ANONYMOUS FUCKIN TIPS FOR HEALTH AND BEAUTY

negro you are 89 IQ at best, best books about health/beauty in your country are pushed by celebrities or model looking people just by them signing name on those word salads, they don't even write a sentence there. all they do is brand name and looks, they do photoshoots and THAT'S THAT.

you went ultra retarded on this one, and next step in your career as an anonymous writer should be writing (yeah you got this christmas present early from me) "How to run an ultramarathon as fat person".

not only you will fail big as you did here, but also you would be traced and hopefully put in jail after some fat lady takes your advice and her heart will pop off at 2nd KM.

on a serious closing note, you are fuckin retarded only for having an idea to write anything fit related without your name, but to actually do it and be suprised with guaranteed effects of failure- you are pajeet that got pajeeted into buying devery level of retarded.

God bless You.

Feels bad man but you shouldn't just give up, that's what losers do. If you want you can leave some kind of contact information (throwaway etc), never know. But don't just throw a perfectly good product in the trash man, especially when it's yours. Maybe you don't have anymore money to put in but you can still place it on the back burner and retry later. If it's an actual good product it can work out.
