I'm 29 and make 130k with no debt. However I have only $10,000 to my name.

Lost 50k gambling and crypto.

No debt but keep chasing losses. Should I just start saving like a boomer and invest in index funds?

you mean gambling, just gambling

Focus on building a net worth. Own your house, put at least 15% away into low risk investing. Then use the rest for buying whatever you want or continue gambling it. This way you won’t have the regrets anymore because you will still have a paid off house and a nest egg to count on.

Also check your mental health status, bipolar 2 is harder to recognize when you have it but will make you do stupid things with money. Speaking from experience

Imagine how much money you'd have now only you stayed away from gambling (crypto is gambling, so is commodity and fiat "investing").

Not only that, but imagine the number of opportunities that you missed in the real world instead of wasting your money on crypto.

In real estate you'd have had 200k easily by now. TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS. Do you know how many small businesses you could've have opened with that? You could've said goodbye to wagecucking at the age of 29. You could've been a self-made success at the age of 29.

Tell me exactly what you've done please, so I know not to end up like you.

You sound like a fucking loser desu.

I'd just end it all, you clearly can't succeed even with a six figure salary. Fucking loser.

I got that 50k all in the past 2 years. I was a pilot in the military in a high COL area, saved my housing allowance (3k a month). I got a signing bonus from the airline I signed with (20k) and I save 5k a month now after expenses.

Can't turn 50k into 200k in 2 years without gambling

>Bipolar 2
What the fuck, this is a thing? Is this characterized by overthinking an investment until you're sick to your stomach and then just saying fuck it and throwing money at things because you stopped caring?

ofc you can?

2 years is more than 700 days. 24 months.

Unless you work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, you really have no excuse other than "gambling is easier and requires no thinking".

There's more than real estate out there.

You can literally sell shit for money, and people will buy it.
