FTM is literally the next ETH
Imagine falling for 70 iq fud
Buy some before mainnet or stay poor brainlets

I dont like the next eth label as it hides its real power. The fact is it takes eth smart contracts and runs them properly, fast, cheap scalable etc. It doesnt need to replace eth to be fucking huge.

This is true. ETH is pure shit. I dont mind calling ETH killer, because I believe it will render it useless, like many shitcoins

70 is generous given the level of fud but I'm glad you're being nice to the brainlets.

This but there's also so much DeFi and stablecoin deployment code ready to go for absolutely anybody that wants a super fast mainnet that can transact in less than a second for a small fraction of a penny. The tokenomics of this coin are perfectly designed to catapult this thing to a billion mcap or more off the back of one or two secure mainnets being deployed, like for example if a South African bank or two wanted to issue a stablecoin or something really unexpected.
I consider myself a smart and fortunate man, I made a lot of money riding obvious moonshots in 2017, if I'm wrong about FTM I'll probably go neck myself because either I'm a retard or everyone else is.

People will come with the network effect argument about ETH talking about how 100000 developers are contributing to ETH but where the fuck are the useful dapps? The majority of smart contracts deployed on ETH are ICOs designed to exchange ETH for some arbitrary number of tokens, most of which will never be worth anything.
The only dapp on ETH that gained any traction was crypto kitties and we all saw how that ended, multi dollar fees and several hour long confirmations just like king daddy shitcoin BTC.
I'm fascinated to see how dapps will develop on Fantom with their own mainnets. Perhaps we'll see a new generation of project funding where contributors lock up FTM in a staking contract where app developers receive all or part of the staking rewards to sell for development. Imagine an ICO raising $10m in FTM but this $10m isn't just drained from the wallets and sold for fiat dragging down the entire market, instead it's staked and receives 5% interest on that $10m. If you can't build a small 2 man software company for some gambling app or cat trading game with $500k a year then you shouldn't be trusted with money. How many people gave money away in ICOs in 2017 to build some decentralised Airbnb (BEE Token raised 15 million fucking dollars and all they did was build a website that lists a few properties for rental and the token itself has been completely scrubbed from their memories and has never had any utility on their platform, current mcap is 80k btw). BEE is one of my favourite exit scams in crypto because of how brazen it is but there are so many others like it and contributors are absolutely JUSTed. With a system like I described, you can't exit scam because funders just pull their stakes and you have no future funding.

Alot of large cap projects are built on Ethereum smart contracts. They have no reason not to use Fantoms open source consensus.

I think the network effect will take a while but Fantom is built to scale infinitely and the seem to have strong enterprise connections to get in the right places

pretty excited for the next few years

I wouldn't be too sure.

I like coins that don't do p&d scams w/YouTubers & run Chinese click farms for spamming other projects

Don't. I never need to work again and my kids don't either unless they piss away the inheritance. If I lose $15k or whatever I paid for this FTM, it won't hurt anything but my ego. Manage your risk:reward frens but don't be stupid or gullible.

How fast is ETH2.0 estimated to be if it works out?
Will it be even close to FTM's TPS? If so won't that render FTM useless?

The implication that ETH 2.0 will see the light of day before 2025.
