Is MakerDAO being a huge success indicative of RSR succeeding in the future? It’s basically the same concept just with 100 billion tokens instead of 1 mil. Realistic price predictions?
$1 and $10 fags please stay out of my thread. I hold RSR but I am not delusionally hopeful.

Read the fucking white paper. 100bil will never circulate at any point in time.

I’ve read it. I’m not trying to spread fud, I know there will never be 100 bil circulating. But the circulating supply will start going up in 2020. I do not see $1+ as a possibility. Like I said, I’m a holder though, so I hope I’m wrong.

RSR burn rate will be much higher than MKR's though (only ~7k MKR burned every year) and arbitrage opportunities may be much more frequent thanks to RSV's scalability. That being said I agree >$1 is far away and I think $0.01 by mainnet is very realistic.

Hoping for $.10 after mainnet.

$0.01 is literally the most optimistic scenario I can think of. Unless there is some major news or extreme progress with RSV adoption, the price will probably stay around what is now until main net.

We really need a coin that is stable but not pegged to a state fiat. Maker is USD. USD is shit. RSV is going to be based on a basket of assets. If they find the most stable assets and spread the risk this will be the most important digital currency out there.

No one ever said it’d happen soon. All 1mm+ wallets buckled up for a 2 year hold at least.

It will eventually unpeg from usd

Maybe not *by* mainnet but shortly after. Nevin said he was working on exchange listing, nobody is speaking about RSV yet and none of its investors have shilled it yet

That was my point and I wish it would hurry. This is not like creating a layer 1 protocol. All they are doing is writing some smart contracts and likely some oracle feeders. It doesn't have to take 2 years.

People still have to buy it for it to go up ya know...

"A beautiful, elegant cryptocurrency that nobody uses is still worthless."

Smart contracts are the easy part, business development is where the team is currently putting most of their efforts.

Nice quote, but if it can be swapped out for the underlying assets at any time he is completely wrong.

If nobody uses RSV as a stable currency there will be no arbitrage, if there is no arbitrage there will be no RSR burn. If there is no RSR burn your bags will not appreciate. Taking this coin to mainnet before they have cultivated any market demand could be detrimental to Reserve's objectives and do little to actually appreciate your bags.
