Alts pumped as bitcoin crashed so it wasn't that different to now. However when alts bombed in Jan the catalog was a wall of pink with every post some variation of

not how it works. Going by history, it will x10 at a minimum due to the halving (maybe about a year to reach its peak) and then dump hard

It didn't crashed so fast from $20k to $6k, I mean it was overnight.
People was slowly used to see BTC at $16k, then to $14k, then to $11k etc.
When it crashed to $6k I was quite shocked, tho. That was time to buy, as $6k held as support for the next big descending triangle down to $3k. I was more shocked at $6k than at $3k, there I was in full bear market mentality.

The top happened very slowly. Price creeped up to 19000, then 19500, then 19800, 19900 tried to break 20000, but the buying somehow stopped. Then it slowly began to fall over the following days, but recovered to 14k-16k again. So BTC felt kind of normal, alts where going absolutey crazy in early january so everybody was high on dopamine even weeks after BTC reached the top. The crash to 6k in february on the other hand was unreal and made clear that the bubble had popped.

no i was just wrong. i didn't realize at the time.
the way i calculated bitcoins "fair" valuation was flawed. the way i thought the market perceives and uses bitcoin was flawed. now i know better. now i know there is no limit. bitcoin can go all the way to $10 billion usd a coin. that's the first theoretical limit.

This but unironically however i have to remind every newfag that as a spectator of the whole thing this board was full of messages of "How can i cash out" , from september to december 2017.

newfags don't seem to grasp how massive btc halvenings are for market movements.
Oldfags made so much money the entire board was no longer worry about making money but of how to cash out because everyone realized the thing had become a bubble.

Funny seeing linkies capitulate in March. I went all in in December 2017 and never sold. Comfiest bear market hold ever, 300% in the green.
