yeeeaaahh....suppressing bots

when one of them tripped over the extension cord to the "suppression" server the volume shot up. You see, the suppression server constantly scans DNS servers for people accessing coinbase or binance who have the intention to buy LINK. They then DDOS these would be buyers. When the server went off for a hour finally these poor people were able to buy.

the way i see it, and these are the dominoes that need to fall in order of how i think they'll happen.

1) hyperledger mainnet and big companies in the financial and tech world bending the knee

2) smart contracts being used more by said companies. people here with their dopamine running low are forgetting that smart contracts are barely useful right now and still don't have as many applications as tech nerds think they will. smart contracts are still in very early development and this is early on in the early adopters phase where really only enthusiasts are playing around with smart contracts, we're years off on the usage curve. i think this will result in the true singularity.

3) automation to kick in and for services rendered through automation to be settled via automatic digital payments and smart contracts. this is the one thats furthest off. maybe closer to the middle or the late 2020s. this is where we'll see if link can truly be an "industry standard." and only for the more patient linkies.

you can sell earlier than that, you'll just hate yourself if that ends up being a bad play.

id recommend selling off in phases though. if i were you and i were poor id try to wait until ~10% of your link stack is game changing money though. as much or more than you can make in 2 years of work.

this is just speculation thinking if link increases in values every couple of years for the next 10 years or more, but say link megamoons in the not too distant future, sell off a percentage of your links. then on the next leg up from there, sell off another percentage, etc. and keep at least a core percentage of your stack just in case a small stack by todays standards can allow you to get some kind of insane NEET node in the future or just in case they announce some weird staking products that makes people that aren't large enterprises but are still link holders rich.

Why would staking do anything for the price, brainlets. Staking will not magically create node usage, there's no paying customers waiting to use your stake. By that logic, every other POS piece of shit will also magically moon. Wake up. The only thing that matters in this crypto clown market is big famous brands associating their names to the project, like Google. Here's the red pill about crypto. Tron could announce that Nike is using a tron wallet for a worthless cardio pump and it would pump, Chainlink could be integrated into the ISDA CDM and fundamentally disrupt derivatives and the price would do nothing, because clown crypto traders know Nike but don't know ISDA. The price didn't react to Oracle and its one of the biggest software firms in the world but it's not known like Microsoft or IBM to retail normies. Thankfully, Sergey truly is a scammer and a hustler, and he understands that, that's why he goes after association with the likes of Google and Libra, he knows its all about the hype. Stop deluding yourself about stealth adoption and muh backend integrations... Eventually they will formally announce swift oracles, even if it's just a dirty connection to a public API, and on that day it should pump very well. Those are the kind of pumps you should be waiting for.

>> No.16172338

>>16172275
Correct, Sergey is a master at writing blogposts that make normans think X big company is using Chainlink, when it's actually Chainlink using X big company's public API anyone could use. Most linkers don't even know what an API is though, so they actually believe the partnerships are real.

Sergey is so skilled at this, I'm pretty sure he can ride the fake partnerships and hide the fact that no one is actually using the network for years before it plunges to zero.

The author confirmed the blog post was partially co written by the Chainlink team, but that's irrelevant.

Chainlink being a bridge to real world data is a very good thing for speculative action, because it means they have the potential to interact with so many famous entities and in a wide variety of industries. Even if it's just a connection to an API. Having said that, you also have to remember they released the PayPal oracle without any marketing, even though it could/should have been huge opportunity for hype. Most on this board are barely even aware of it, Twitter normies certainly aren't. Sometimes they fuck up like this. They lucked out on the Google blog post, if you remember correctly, the big query oracle was already online for some time before the blog post, and no one cared then. Because that's all it is, a connection to a public API. They could release a swift oracle tomorrow on the documentation page, and it wouldn't get noticed or trigger a pump, unless swift also released an official announcement on their end. Which isn't guaranteed.

>there's no paying customers waiting to use your stake.
How can you be so sure when there is no staking yet ?

Only staking + earning + network effect will increase the price and this is common knowledge since 2017... Of course Sergey wont release unadopted network, he will turn it on and they there are, node operators, data providers, dapps and many usecases with fully working products going live on day 1

You're right, that is irrelevant because it's a very natural consequence of the fact that they have been working together.

>if you remember correctly, the big query oracle was already online for some time before the blog post, and no one cared then
It's not that no-one cared; it's just that everyone assumed this wasn't Google Cloud themselves who were behind that node.
Turns out it was.

>Because that's all it is, a connection to a public API.
That's what Chainlink is: a connection between things like the Google Cloud BQ API and the blockchain/smart contracts.

So in order for LINK to "climb" up to new ATHs there would have to be someone at every step of the way there to sell their LINK. How can this be possible if everyone knows LINK is undervalued. Whales have accumulated and linkies are never selling. Sooooooooo?
