I know there's anons here that must have made a ton of money with this shit in 2017. It was at like 1 cent in mid 2017 and topped out at over $30. They used to give them out for free with a faucet in the early days too I believe.
I sometimes read the thread on bitcointalk about it, crazy shit how fast it grew.

I was kinda late and got in around $4 on bitgrail and sold on kucoin for like $20. Good times

Any anons get in super early and cash out near the top? I know a lot of ppl must have lost money with the bitgrail hack also. What was the buzz like on here when all this was going on?

We've moved on to other tokens that will be the future 1000x like haircombs (COMB)

>> No.16111122

Nah, I just watched it soar from 1 cent to $30.

bitgrail was gay and il-liquid

I bought 5000XRB when it was about 4k sats in early December, then sold most at 20k sats a couple of days later taking an easy 5x, then watched it moon from the sidelines after that with only a couple of hundred left, which I held far past the peak and sold on the way down. Timing things is hard.

raiblocks distribution was anything but fair. Most people didn't bought any of this crap before november because nobody actually traded at bitgrail. Only when reddit started shilling this shit , everyone and their mother decided to register in that shitty exchange. The rest was a gigantic scam fren

It was a shitty exchange, but was the only place you could really buy a decent amount back then. Soon as it got listed on Kucoin I moved my shit over there instantly

Yeah man especially back then. There was no ceiling on anything. People basically touted this as the new improved BTC. I remember people predicting $100 a token kek

it's the fairest distribution there is. No ICO, Only will and determination from 3rd worlder solving capcha to get some nano. You prefer someone buy a big stack with a ico and dump it on you?

Kek at newfags. I flipped XRB from $3.20 to about $31. There were people on here shilling since it was like 5 cents though so I barely scratched the surface of the gains some anons made.

I didn't buy it because the exchanges were shady as fuck.
There were so many projects coming and pumping during this time anyway it would have been dumb luck to pick it over anything.

People will forever baghold this shit though, the rebrand is garbage, the team lied about not knowing the exit scam, the price went to the moon and the toilet faster than ever.

completely and totally false. as a non-brainlet, the second I learned of the transaction speed i bought my bag and it worked out for a curmfy profit.

I was there. I bought on mercatox and bitgrail at like $0.1-0.3

Lost 4 btc worth in bitgrail hack
Sold most at 5x on mercatox
Lost a lot on a gamblingg site that was only for raiblocks (cant remember the name but it was like one of those limit/multiplier things were you hold on as long as you can). At the peak the stuff i gambled away would have been worth around $250k
and what i sold on mercatox would have been worth $3 mill+

Then bought again at $10 on one of the shitty sites i think cant remember and sold at $5 holding all the way down from the pump to $30

tl;dr
Making money in a bullrun isnt as easy as it seems.
Not only do you have to time the bottom, you have to time the top as well - a much harder feat to achieve.

Finding a coin like raiblocks in 2017 was not easy. You had to have had legit knowledge of blockchain and how this shit all actually works to have seen it was worthwhile buying (knowledge that would take even a competent programmer several months to aquire). The wallet was shit. The site looked like a scam. The exchanges it was listed on looked like scams. There was no one in the community. There was no team - just a single autistic dev. Buying at $0.1 was not easy at all. I got lucky buying there coz someone shilled it to me and i was somewhat competent in how it all works.

Then to time the top you must 1) master your emotions (something few are capable of - i wasnt) 2) have enough knowledge and experience with the macro structure, cyclical nature, and reflexivity of the market to know when its topping (something even fewer have knowledge of)

Containing the euphoria is the hardest thing in a bullrun. I could barely function during 2017 and was obsessed with crypto all day.

>> No.16111716

Good post dude. I remember it was literally going up at least 20% every day. I wasn't on here much back then but I remember all the shilling on reddit (kek).
It went from 37c to $34 in literally one month..Thats crazy

Bad buzz losing what you lost but if you were in on this that early I'd imagine you still done very well elsewhere. Who knows if we'll ever seen these kinda pumps again..everyone's too war weary this time around to not take profits as soon as they can

>> No.16111729

Buying 5k worth of this at 0.25 and selling at $30 would have been 600k. Nearly impossible to time but even so, just looking at those numbers man fuck

Bought at $1, sold at $14 and now I'm accumulating more

Normies will pump this shit again as soon as BTC gets fucked up by high fees on the next GBR.
