there are different ways to consider what forms of life or non-organic is considered imbued with a soul depending on culture. western culture believes less and less in a form of soul. beings are seen more as cybernetic organic feedback loops instead of "souls". same goes for any other industrial society it seems. there are very few cultures today with a developed and coherent vision of what constitutes a soul. most cultures have no idea.
