today as I walked through the park, the pair of crows that I normally feed in passing were joined by a large seasonal flock of young birds. There must have been around 50 crows in the flock, and as I walked along, they were all wheeling gently around me in a huge black cloud, with individuals periodically dropping from the flock and looking at me with one beady black eye begging for peanuts, before wheeling up again into the cloud.

My regular crows have I been feeding daily for years,and I guess they have now communicated to the broader crow community that I am a gud guy/food source. There are also seasonal reasons they are flocking up just now. Still-
