My friend told me that $1000 for LINK isn't possible unless ETH meets and exceeds $1000 itself. It made sense to me as he said it but what do you think?
Is LINK's performance tied to ETH's? Or do you believe LINK has the potential to eventually outperform ETH?

>> No.15851136

>>15851105
It won't just outperform ETH, it will outperform the whole market.

Wait til 2021 for the real show to begin

BLOCKCHAIN AGNOSTIC

What part of that don’t you understand? ETH needs LINK, not the other way around.

your friend is a sad eth bagholder who doesn't understand that chainlink is blockchain agnostic

Why would you compare them dollar for dollar? Your friend is dumb and you should never listen to a word that person says.

>> No.15851292

The reason why LINK is pumping is because people are slowly starting to realize that it isn’t part of crypto as a whole. It’s a standalone project that makes blockchain it’s bitch.

Bitcoin’s role was to introduce the blockchain as a tool.

Ethereums role was to introduce smart contracts.

LINKs role is to make it all actually matter in the real world.

If you know about this token right now and you aren’t deeply invested in it then you deserve the mediocre existence that lies before you.

A make it stack has always been 10k LINK, so we only need it to reach $100. LINK reaching $1000 is just a meme so we can offload our bags onto normies when the time comes.

Your faggot friend is retarded what is so hard to understand about middleware? Also, pic related is the LINK/ETH pair from the past 12 months. Does it look like LINK price is being hindered by that double digit shitcoin?

Were not debating whether LINK requires the public ethereum chain to keep existing (it does, unless they port the token to another blockchain). The argument was whether LINK price performance is limited by ETH price performance and if you look at the ETH/LINK chart it clearly isn't.

Look at the usdt tether market cap and tell me if it's higher than ETH. Yes, it is.
Now consider Tether is an absolute bullshit poker chip tier erc220 token, whereas LINK is undisputedly the most legitimate, potent project in the blockchain space.

chainlink went from rank 120+ to top 20 within a year
it has overperformed on almost every single bearish period
it has hovered at 4$ with nothing but hype

it is completely useless, literally internet monopoly money right now, yet it is doing excellent like that
what do you think will happen when it stops being useless? what does your "friend" think will happen when 95% of holders lock up their stacks to stake? and what will happen as adoption slowly starts rolling and staking rewards keep going up?

making predictions on general is stupid, but what is even more stupid is people who make pessimistic predictions thinking that they are being smart and realistic
vitalik thought the same when he claimed that 7$ is too much for ETH, but in reality people who expected BTC to reach 200,000$ were actually much more accurate with their predictions than those so called "realists"
