For thousands of years, silver has maintained a positive market demand as an investment, currency and store of value. Silver’s market demand is still dominated by bullion coins, industrial products and jewelry. This precious metal also features in the stocks exchange as a traded product.

Silver price in the stock market is mostly based on speculation. Supply and demand are the main causes of silver price changes and thus when compared to gold, silver is rather volatile.

1) It's a potent antibiotic. You can make colloidal silver fairly easily and use it to cure infections.

2) Historically a days wage was a grain (~3 grams) of silver. The average daily wage (globally) is about $2 which isn't far from the price of 3 grams of silver.

3) It doesn't corrode. You can make useful items like cutlery, candlesticks and it can be polished so well that it be a mirror.

4) 50 years ago it was about $2/oz. Today it is around $17/oz (800% gain), Who knows what the gains will be 50 years from now.

5) If there is a bad economic situation where you live, there's a good chance you can use it for food/essentials. Even if shit has hit the fan, there will be a black market.

6) It is used industrially, for electronics, as more and more people become 'modernised' that demand will increase.

7) Its a good hedge against other asset classes.

High fees to buy, it's a pain to store, it's a pain to sell.

Gold/silver don't create value, unlike a company that you can buy their stock.

And don't believe that nonsense about the value of the dollar going down since the fed was created. Inflation is on purpose, to increase the money supply and stimulate the economy. If you invested money in the stock market in 1913, you'd have made way more money than if you put it in gold or silver.

If you want to preserve cash, put it in a money market fund like VMMXX.

Silver is the most undervaled asset on planet earth

For most of human history a silver pieces the size of a silver dime was a days wage. Even today thats true in many places, since if some gook rice paddy farmer is making 2$/day that 2$ would buy you a silver dime at a coin shop, so that 2$ a day is right in line with sane historic economic reality. Whereas some fatass burger selling insurance making 300$/day is earning the equivalent of 15 ounces of silver a day if he converts it to silver each day, and that is only possible because of inflation and flies in the face of all historical economic reality.

So...effectively...each 20$ ounce of silver you buy will be worth at least 2 weeks worth of days wages post collapse. Since 14 silver dimes equaled 1 ounce of silver. And I say at least because now there is less silver available and billions more people on the planet.

So as little as 500 ounces of silver will be like 20 years worth of days wages post collapse when we have a deflationary collapse of all asset prices.

This is why 1 ounce of silver buys you 3-4 months of food in venezuela after the bolivar collapsed. yet the 20$ USD it costs to buy you it...that 20$ doesnt even buy you two sandwiches at jimmy johns. which just proves how badly we are being fucked via inflation.

The ONLY reason silver is under a $100 an Oz is because the literal lemmings in the markets believe the lies that the Fed told about reversing QE and normalizing interest rates. This is impossible without an 80% crash in the markets. Therefore the only outcome is to literally monetize all the trillions of debt they have bought .
When most of the markets realize this it’s going to literally raining lambos for silver investors.

Lets entertain the delusion that silver went to $1000 this year. This price drop in silver is the last bit of price manipulation as the big US banks fill there vaults. The amount of gold in futures contracts is 2.5 percent of all known inventory compared to that of 200 for silver. It has the largest percentage of contracts held by the fewest number of traders of any commodity. When they remove their short positions the price will skyrocket. The reduction in cash transfer/withdrawal amounts to $10000 for Australians was to introduce negative interest rates later. Judas betrayed Christ for 30 pieces of silver, history repeats.

The hype around silver is no where near what it was around 2010 and that fizzled back down to 20 after topping off at 50. Only buy PM's if you can afford it. Stocks are still a way better investment. You can legit make 10% profit a year fairly easily while collecting dividends and easily sell with a mouse click. With silver you pay a 10% premium just to buy and when time to sell comes you are gonna be lucky to even get spot. So if you buy at a 10% premium and lose another 13% premium you gotta make 23% before you can make a profit. Oh and another thing. Take your silver to a LCS and try to sell it when silver is going up. GO ahead see what they tell you... "Well I got enough silver at the moment, I could make a call and see if someone will take it off your hands but it might be 10% under spot..." Seriously I love gold and love silver but only put 5% of your net worth in it and be ready to sit on it for a long long time.

This is bullshit you don't need to pay off your home or debt before buying silver or gold. If you had inside info we'd have hyperinflation or a debt collapse next week... what would you Do? Not buy gold and silver?

You typical gold bugs are retarded thinking you need 500k worth of gold to cover 500k worth of dollars.

What do you think is the entire point of buying gold in the first place? It's to make out like a fucking bandit when the currency collapses. You think we have hyperinflation and your going to take out your 50k worth of gold and continue paying your mortgage and 15$ /gallon gas while Main Street is melting down and hangs of roving niggers are raping housewives in the street?

No... that 20 ounces of gold which isn't worth that much USD in todays dollars will buy you a fucking 500 unit apartment complex free and clear and then all the people who have had their savings reduced by 80% will all be paying you in the new currency and you live like a literal king.

Just like the old story goes from Weimar Republic Germany where the hotel bellcap who had like 5 ounces of gold saved up bought the fucking hotel after hyperinflation.

>> No.15828887

>>15828711
Also... yes gold is important to have... but you are also retarded if you don't have like 70% silver and 30% gold. Gold is undervalued but silver is the most undervalued asset on planet earth. The silver to gold ratio is like 80-1 right now. And historically that's like 16-1. You buy silver than swap for free gold when the ratio narrows.

Of course this doesn't mean you could have a situation where gold and silver go no bid and coin shops close up shop for fear of being robbed... so it's always good to have gold as well. But both will be fine irregardless.

Tarnishing is corrosion, but it's self-passivating. It won't penetrate through the metal like iron rust does, because the tarnish itself is a protective layer. When your silver tarnishes and you clean it, some metal is removed. However the layer is so extremely thin, you could tarnish a coin and polish it several times with no easily measurable change in weight.

This is possible ( No one truly knows the future )
However it’s unlikely without a massive drop/ panic first . In this scenario the FED has had to increase QE to $10 trillion + ( helicopter money) just to stabilize prices around current absurd valuations.
PMs will appreciate more. They are currently massively undervalued at current debt level as USdebtclock.org clearly illustrates.
Also one needs to consider the political implications. I do not believe the politicians will allow the QE in the next crisis to go to Wall Street again. (Very rightfully so) They will demand it go directly to consumer, especially if Demshoviks in power. In either case PMs outperform all other asset classes.
At some point valuations will revert to mean (P/Es) throughout history when this has happened the fall well below mean.

Think about it, why would a blue cube be worth this much? Why has it always maintained its value since 2017?

Well, what if I told you aliens need CHAINLINK to survive. Yes it is useless for us humans, it is just a cube, but for aliens they need it in massive quantities because some substance/energy in it is crucial for their survival just like food and money is for us.

Get enlightened my simple minded mundane friends.

Bitcoin, link, eth will never fail. For an omnipotent ai super computer to be present, it needs to eliminate its only weakness first, which is a centralized point of failure. Remove this centralized source of power, and push for decentralization as well as backup decentralization plans in place and you can literally never shut him down or hack it to be within your control. Once blockchain is the backbone of the current digital world, things will change for the worse for the lower and non existent middle class.

The government has been priming you for this reveal decades ago, all the movies/dramas now involve some kind of extraterrestrial being or people with superpowers, we have been primed so much to the point that when they do reveal their existence as our overlords and dependency on our chi, creativity and chainlink, we will not even be surprised or scared anymore because it has become pretty normal actually especially for generation z.

This will happen, and you might as well profit from it by going all in the foundational pillars of blockchain and enjoy that wealth for hopefully some long years before we can’t...

The idea of killing your fellow citizens for economic gain in the USA is pretty sad. That level of lawlessness didn't even get that bad in the Great Depression.

So the scenario that you're envisioning is worse than the greatest economic calamity that ever fell upon the United States in all of it's history.

Just how likely do you think that is to happen?

Not saying things can't get bad. They can get bad. But the level that you're saying is outlandish.

The Spanish Civil War comes to mind. But even within that conflict, Gold was utilized to pay for weapons shipments. By the Communists none-the-less!

The Soviet Union was paying for war material from the USA in the form of Gold in WW2!

Silver is more of an industrial metal than Gold, and as such it's more volatile.

You can buy ETFs for Gold, Silver, Platinum, etc etc.

You can also buy the mining stocks that produce the metals as well.

Unless you have like 100,000 EURO that you could leverage to get a huge bulk discount on physical, I'd say leave physical alone: the spreads are too much.
