Currently enlisted, Army watercraft engineer. We're a really small part of the Army but a couple things you might find interesting.

Our annual training mission this year was in little creek Va, next year we're going to Jordan for 2 months. Our job is to secure the beach and set up our floating pier to load tanks, humvees and supplies until the navy shows up.

You got 12 months of doing high speed stuff as a Platoon Leader, maybe if you're Infantry or Armor you can get a shot at a Scout platoon or weapons platoon, but otherwise it's staff life. Fort Hood - OPTEMPO at the units can be crazy but you got Austin close by which is a lot of fun
Fort Campbell - Very squared away units, 45 minute drive from Nashville and most of the Officers and senior NCOs live there
Fort Stewart - close by to Savannah which is a fun party town with lots of college girls
Fort Carson - close to Denver, tons of outdoor stuff

Former Army logistics Officer here. There are plenty of cushy POG jobs in the army its not just the infantry and combat arms like people think. I went ROTC route in college so I wasnt a west point autist. The best and the worst officers I met came from there though but they have all been drinking the cool aid hard for 4 years and it shows. I wasnt top block, just center mass but I knew I was leaving as soon as my time was up I had no intention to stay. I used that to not be a yes man and speak up when clear bullshit came they way of my soldiers. A contractor was bad mouthing my soldiers to their face and I lit him up. I got in a little trouble for it but I would rather my soldiers see me as not a cuck than a good bootlick for chain of command. At the end of the day your soldiers can do more for you than all the cucked "yes man" commanders protecting their job. If you dont have your soldiers trust and loyalty you will fail, its your most precious resource as an officer. Good stepping stone but you can get stuck for years there. Miss some of it but im glad im out

I'm in the Air Force, probably one of the best decisions I've made. I'm only a drilling reservist as well which means I go serve one weekend a month, yes Saturday and Sunday. Rest of my time I'm civilian and could do whatever, whenever. They pay for my full college tuition and I'll be entitled to Veteran benefits next year when I reenlist for another 2 years. Who is actually using Chainlink to connect outside data to blockchain? It's not happening just like Sergey's other project that failed before Chainlink. Somehow thousands bought into the ICO and are bagholding. It became /biz/'s coin somehow. What makes linkers believe that Chainlink is the only project trying to create oracles? There are none. You won't make a lot of money staking either. They are holding 65% of the fucking supply. That's a bad model to follow. Unlike Bitcoin where even though Satoshi mined 10% of the supply, they did it to get the strength or difficulty of the network going. Anyone can become a node and it's proof of work so no printing tokens from nothing like Chainlink.
