Let's be serious for 1 thread and have an actual discussion for once. Is BTC a ponzi scam? Literally almost no one buys it other than hoping to sell to a greater fool at a later date for a higher price. How the fuck is this not a bubble that would eventually pop to 0?

it has it uses. With your argument index fund is pretty a ponzi scheme as well.

Nope because an index fund invests into stocks of actual companies with profits and cash flows. This produces real economic growth. It represents holdings in a legitimate company not just a speculative asset that provides no income.

It can be used to transmit large amounts of capital internationally at very little cost.
Let's say you live in Germany and you want to buy a 300k apartment in let's say USA. Normally you'd have to transfer via SWIFT pay somewhere between 2-6% fees ( imagine paying 18k just to transfer money) with Bitcoin you can turn 300k right to the vendor of the house with only a small transactional fee.

Also it's immune to sanctions
Also your funds cannot be frozen in Bitcoin because it's not a bank.

People buying and hoping to sell to a greater fool meme le reddit Hai xd are a minority. Read the white paper if you want to understand what it does. It's pretty damn cool. Not sure if you've heard of the more underground and obscure ones but there are other coins besides btc. Litecoin, Ethereum, and Monero are also worth checking out. Just keep the spork away xd mfw famalam bruh yeet dab.

Enough with the trolls, larping, and bullshit
