>Be me
>Know this married, White couple that lives in NJ. >Husband is a 27yo 9/10 Chad and his wife is the same age and equally attractive.
>Husband is the only one that works. Makes like 70k a year before taxes.
>Has a 1 year old daughter and a mortgage on a 400k townhouse.
>Just recently found out that the wife is pregnant with a 2nd child.
Are they fucked financially? Can they realistically afford their current lifestyle with a second kid or are they about to get a wake up call?

Fun fact: If parents gave them the down payment for the mortgage and the borrowers didn't disclose it (they never do), that's mortgage fraud and they could go to jail.

Do with this what you will.

Jesus christ... who fucking cares? They sell the house, downsize the car, file bankruptcy. It doesn't fucking MATTER, life goes on. They are enjoying themselves and will be able to overcome any financial obstacles. Meanwhile you are saving like a cranky old miser and hating your life at the same time.

Depends on the down payment. Assuming they had 20% down, and 3.75% apr, $400k is about the max house they can afford at a 36% debt to income ratio (assuming no other credit card and student loan debt)

Someone making $70k in NJ probably takes home ~$3500 a month. There is no way it's feasible for them to be doing that by themselves with all of the other bills that come with owning a home and raising a family. Medical bills, 401k, car, utilities, property tax. It's not possible to have a stay at home wife on $70k in New Jersey.

And what's wrong with this? Assuming the couple realizes what they can/can't afford and the position they're in financially due to the help of the parents, then I see no problem. People that complain about parents helping either had a shit relationship with theirs or are just seething. Acting like if they're well off the should fuck everyone else and take that cash to the grave. Family is supposed to help out and stick together. This idea that we need "muh independence as soon as we hit 18 and forget about everyone that raised us" is why the west is falling apart.

Does no one on this site understand a progressive tax system?

Yes New Jersey has high taxes, on high earners. This family would have an effective income tax of under 17%. Their bigger issue is 2.24% property tax in NJ for about $9k. Combined income and property taxes of $20k

I bet their budget is tight. Safety Margins of several hundred per month at best. Prolly a few hundred per month. Dunno what state taxes are like there.

Money related stress is a huge contributor to divorce. Let’s hope for the best here.

Some people are comfy with tight budgets. You prolly are too. You make more so you spend more. Excessive savings/surplus gives you anons anxiety?

But maybe they make more than 70k. I sometimes lie about my income and my finances. I downplay my finances because MOST are not mature enough to hear the truth. All they hear is the amount and seldom the habits that got me there. People hate those who make more too. Nevermind the larger contribution I do. Think I somehow stole from them by saving... or not wanting a $60k diesel truck makes me unpatriotic.

They’ll prolly be fine. Mommy can just get a job. Daycare the kids like many unfortunately do... which sometimes removes so much of the gain of mommy working might as well have a stay at home mommy.
Or stay at home till the kids are in school. Then get a job.

Children are not actually expensive. Retarded parents just hundreds of thousands on shit they don't need. Diapers are the biggest expense, but it's not as expensive as eating out.

There's always a ton of used baby gear on the market that most people will give away for next to nothing just to get rid if it. Retards buy new and custom cribs and luxury strollers and car seats for thousands and then the kids outgrows it in no time.

Meanwhile, Muhammad raises 8 sandniggers solely on welfare.

By all means though, keep thinking you need a mcmansion and 200k job to raise children with your post wall roastie trophy. This is why the white race is dying
