Ok /biz/, here's what's happening
>Staring to get into stocks, still new
>Neighbor challenges me and my dad to a stock game on MarketWatch
>Rules are simple: you each get 100k (virtual) and have to invest money to get the most back
>Starts yesterday and ends on new years day
>You can't see each other's portfolios
>Winner gets a cake irl
What are some fast growing stocks I can use to amass wealth? What's the best strategy to this? I really want a cake and to make my neighbor look like pic related.
Protip: neighbor is a stock broker, we're fake trading real stocks

Can you margin trade in this game? Regardless, you should try and become friends with your neighbor

day trade the shit out of crab market stocks
aim for 2.5-5% a week(which is barely 0.7% profit a day
you should easily double your money

I remember about 5 years ago when I was 14, I traded on the app stock market simulation. I think I 2xed it in some weeks. Basically what I did was look at daily low and high. If the price was near the low, I would buy it and wait for it to start going back up. Stupidest shit ever, but it worked for some time lol. Idk what happened or why I didn't continue. I remember doing paper trading by looking at yahoo prices of stocks. There were a couple of stocks that were like $1.00 and went up and down 2 cents, so I basically "bought" 0.98 and sold $1.00 thinking I'm so fucking smug when in reality the price was more like $0.989 or something.

Anyway now I just hold my 21k LINK. If it goes 5x, I'll cash out 5% to day trade for fun.

I played a game like that in grade school for a competition. Had all year I believe to do it. Got 100K as well. There were people showing up early every day of the week to have meetings with their teams. Using all of this terminology and TA that I couldn't understand. I only traded once. All in on Hitachi because that was my HDD manufacturer. Wound up getting 8th place in the state long after I forgot I was in the competition. 1st place in my school and got some dumbass trophy for it.

So you get a cake if you win and nothing happens if you lose this game. So just dump your entire 100k into some single leg option.
