yes. the issue with smart contracts has always been how to get data into the contract from an external source. that's where chainlink comes in. for this, I've written a custom API. you plug one end into the smart contract, and the other into a mans skull so that the moment of death can be recorded on the blockchain and trigger the release of funds from your contract.
