Is this a bad idea?

Currently in this situation. I have approx 2.5 years living expenses (more if I sold off assets) and fucking hate my job.

>> No.15476702

its better to just line up a new job, maybe even start working and collect two paychecks for a while

yes it is a bad idea, don't do yourself a disservice of becoming a neet and burning money whilst you look for jobs

For me I always say I'm going to look for the next job or whatever but never actually do till I quit. Unless you're super motivated and can duck away from work whenever for interviews n such. Walk away if you have the Capitol for it

>> No.15476741

Normally yes, but I've done it before. My job had my cucking it so hard that I just didn't have the energy to look for another job. So I saved up, quit, then made my way while I was unemployed.

Did this a couple of times. About to do it again. Once you taste freedom, even for a little bit, you just can't go back to wagecucking. I'm amazed how many people here advise you to get another job before you quit your current one. Fuck this wageslave mentality. I haven't ever been more alive.
Now i always work for about a year and save up hard to just quit and actually live for about 6+ months, get back to wagecucking again, rinse and repeat. Never had any problem finding a new job (literally takes a day and a decent resume). I am not giving my best years to the jews. Im giving my best years to see the world, fuck whores, stay at home doing nothing and just enjoying my freedom.

I highly recommend it. It's literally the only way to free yourself from the eternal wage cage. After a year of being on your own you'll start to deprogram from the wage mindset and start to come up with more creative ways of making money. People that never take more than a couple months off between jobs never get to experience this deprogramming, so they're trapped forever.

Well if you have that much, I don't think it's a bad idea for your mental health. Take some time off. Hell, maybe talk to your employer about taking a sabbatical, unpaid. Then you can just dick around and line up a new job, and it won't be like you don't have a fallback.

It does look bad to have a gap in employment, but if your resume is good enough to get interviews, just say that you had built up some savings and wanted to travel and see the world. Normies love that kind of shit. Be cautious of falling into a pit where you get lazy however.

I'm assuming you're an office worker? It is much easier to find a job if you currently have a job. If you are hellbent on quitting your job, you may want to stick it out, do a somewhat half-assed job, continue looking for work, and hope that the company lays you off. If you get laid off, you might get severance pay and you'll qualify for unemployment benefits.

I'm 30. I was a "smart kid" back in school. Now, no credentials except AA degree. Worked only half of my 20's in entry level jobs, burned through savings unemployed the other half.

Do not:
-fail to complete your credentials
-allow a gap in your resume
-cease pushing toward your chosen career

No one should have to tell you those simple things, and yet, here I am. Had I stayed on the normie track, I could have worked my way up to where a career change wouldn't have set me back to entry level.

Some people say they wouldn't get out of bed for <$40k. I don't even own a bed.
