One more week and we find out if yet another larp is complete bullshit. Spoiler alert, I'm guessing it's complete bullshit again. Whatever happened to the anon that leaked the google partnership before it came out? Or was it the Oracle thing I forget.

Nope, Sep 11th is only a week or so from now anon. Sep 11th is when Invest Asia is happening, and there's a CL talk -- an anon made a prediction about that, and then about Sep 23rd during Sibos.

I’m giving us until Halloween to break $5. If we don’t, I’m locking my Linkies away and moving on with my life and I’ll check the price every month or two, but /biz/ will have proven to be completely worthless going forward and the implication is that we are going to be half a decade away from the prices we want

I think that's probably a safe bet -- the 5 year thing. I say that because with the very minimal amount of insider information I have i know the team is growing and working hard, but not as far along as some anons have tried to insinuate.

I’m an attorney in a major city. Not one person I’ve come across in my field has ever heard of a smart contract. Until that changes we aren’t going anywhere. 2017 isn’t happening again. Slow, cold adoption is the only way forward.

Yeah this has been my experience as well, and I work in an industry that would certainly benefit from it. I still see no reason it couldn't/shouldn't save a ton of money, though. Makes me think we're still several years away from any real price movement/adoption.

All it takes is one implementation saving a bundle and the wheels will be set in motion. After that it's legit just waiting out the clock until the market catches up with what you've known all along: Your Linky stays super stinky, $1000 EOY

Despite the name, isn't the idea for the replacement of legal contracts more of an end goal thing rather than the first thing to happen? I would assume the first step forward for adoption of smart contracts to be in corporate information and data or gambling areas. I don't see why lawyers would know about this technology before other industries if we're talking about chainlink. The idea that nobody in your field has heard of smart contracts despite being lawyers meanwhile my boomer boss has sort of speaks more toward the ignorance of the average person of potential future events, no?

Those being replaced rarely know about it ahead of time in my experience

Biz is why you hold it in the first place. None of the fundamentals have changed. Listening to larps here simply shows your level of brainlet
