A friend told me about BTC back in 2008-9 when we were randomly discussing government conspiracies and cashless societies. He said buy BTC. At the time I did not realize it was decentralized. I remember going home and saying this was the worst thing ever because I thought the gov owned the coin. Therefore controlling us further with rfid chips etc. I looked up BTC once after that in 2010 and never bought it. Didnt even know what Blockchain Tech was. Didnt even know it was mined etc. I thought it was like paypal. Trade USD for digital currency. I WAS WRONG. Fast forward to 2016-2017, I decide to learn about it and get in. I figured I had no chance with BTC because in my mind I could only afford a small percentage so of it goes higher my investment will be lousy. So I bought 12 Litecoin at 16 -18 bucks. I also bought XRP at 25 cents. Within a month or two Xrp goes to two bucks and litecoin was at 450. I sold both and then went all in on Chainlink. Then I started accumulating BTC when it crashed to 4000. Im never selling my chainlink. I make 300 bucks a week as a substitute teacher. Im 35. I have no benefits, lol. I need to make it. Im now accumulating Harmony and a few others. Share your stories... Oh yeah, I now have 30,000 chainlink and never selling...

im 21 and saw link on twitter a lot in 2017-18 but didn't buy, I didn't really come to this board. When it listed on normiebase on june 28 I started buying, guess I was too lazy to search out other exchanges. I now have 501 (enough for specialist rank on the link marine chart lol) and I use 50+% of my shitty part time retail pay to buy link

Read about Bitcoin in "WIRED" Magazine back around 2009 or 2010, seriously early days. I put together a computer to try to mine it in 2011 but by then GPU mining had taken off and ASICs were on the way, so I never bothered. I didn't have any cash to buy any coins with and didn't know where to find people to buy from anyway, so I gave up.

The MtGox thing happened, and someone in my town put in a BTM a few months later. Finally I had a way to buy, so I got some during the 2015 bear market. Now I'm in ok shape, not great like the early adopters or the richfags who could afford to sink millions into it, but if it rises the way I think it will I'll be able to retire.
